November 23 - ThePub Problems -- UPDATE!

ThePub is back online! The problem was an error in the database that had existed for sometime, and apparently just caused the database to fail this morning.

There was no data lost and no permanent damage to the database. A simple repair by the mighty Sporadicus, and we were back on line!

November 5th - New WhatIs? Data Up!

Deep in the RuneVillage vaults, the database team has been assembling the WhatIs? data for all the new items in Runescape. Our old WhatIs? for Runescape classic is pretty extensive, but this one has even more items, and will eventually contain every single item in the Runescape world. The searchable data includes prices and alchemy prices for items, who drops them, places they can be acquired and much more!

This has been pretty much a team effort with everyone gathering data and inputting into the RV database with a special input interface. However, like many teams, we have a "superstar" and our superstar is Villager Frizoid! By herself, she's contributed over 500 items to the database, and is still going strong!

Other team members who have made special efforts in this project include Flummbullen, pudgythesquid and reo3k. And a big THANKS to all the team members: 13eric13, berserk, bloodvamp, chatmasta, deneagle, draco dun, eastgotenks, illuusiomies, mattwshere, and tibur! The team was supervised by admin Euph.

The work continues and will not stop until all items are in the database, but click the menu link above to check out the current data.
