Catherby, the fishing capital of member's Runescape, is one of the best places to fish. Catherby is home to almost all the fish found in Runescape. You can catch Shark, swordfish, bass, lobsters, tuna, pike, cod, mackerel, anchovies, herring, sardine, and shrimp. The only fish you can't catch there is trout, salmon, and lava eels.

Sunny days (the weather seems to always be sunny in Catherby!), will find numerous persons fishing, building fires and cooking and relaxing around the embers. Truly one of the most relaxing spots in RuneScape.

There are some special things to catch there also. This includes leather boots, leather gloves, oysters, seaweed, and caskets which may contain gold, gems, keyhalves and other treasures. Refer to the Fishing Guide for more information about fishing.

Starting on the west side of the village the first stop on our trip through Catherby is the candle shop. Here you can get your black candle for Merlin's Crystal Quest. This building is on the west side of town, next to the bank.

Head a little northeast for our next stop at a two story house. On the second floor there is a bed where you can rest after all that fishing. On the first floor is where you can find poison for the bees to get their honey for Merlin's Crystal quest. This house is directly north, and behind the bank.

Go just south from the house to find the bank. Here you can access your bank account and deposit all your fish.

Head to the dock, just south from the bank and talk to Arhein to buy rope and other things. This is basically the General store. The docks also has a ship that will take you to Morgan LeFay's Keep, also a part of the Merlin's Crystal Quest.

Just northwest from the dock, and next door to the bank is a small one story house with a "man" who may be attacked and often drops herbs.

Go straight north from that house to find the building with the range and a sink. Here you can cook your fish of course, and the sink is handy for either cooking or for potion making.

Head east from that building to find the certificate exchanger. Here is where you can exchange your raw or cooked bass or certificates and raw or cooked sharks or certificates.

The next stop is the archery store. You can find this building just south from the certificate building. Here you can buy most of your archery needs.

Go around the corner east to see the fishing shop. Here you can buy all your fishing equipment. You can even sell your raw fish here too.

The final destinations of Catherby are the fishing spots! Here you can fish all your fish. These are on a small point of land that projects into the ocean just southeast from the town.

Here you can also see the small island that has an escape hatch from the Black Dragon's Lair in the Taverley (Member's) Dungeon. A great place to take a breather, and also the location of the Water Obelisk, which is described in the Guide to Magic.
