Requirements: Member's Quest, Level 10 Crafting, able to defeat Level 48 opponent.

Items needed:
- molten glass
- 3 planks
- a bronze bar
- poison antidote

First go southwest of Ardougne (see new area on world map.)and keep going untill you find a house with the observatory professors in it. Talk to Professor Gronigen and he will say something about a telescope and goblins.

First you have to get 3 planks. In addition the the old spawn point in the wilderness, there is a new spawn point on the north side of the Barbarians' Stronghold. When you have them, go back and talk to the professor an he will tell you that you have the tripod part of the telescope.

Next you have to get a bronze bar. You can either buy it or mine it with tin and copper ore found nearby at Port Khazard. The closest forge is in Ardougne. When you have the bar go back and talk again to the professor. He will then tell you that he needs molten glass. Buckets of sand spawn nearby in a Goblin house, and seaweed can be obtained easily in Catherby. Again, the closest forge is in Ardougne.

When you have the molten glass, go back and talk to Professor Gronigen again and he will say that he needs a lens piece for the telescope to be complete. Go into the dungeon located under the professor's house and search all of the chests you find. There are some fake chests with only poison spiders. When you have found a key, search for a cage with a Goblin (level 48). Kill him and then use the key with the cage.

Inside the cage search the sacks for the lens piece. Go back to the professor, talk to him and give him the lens piece. He is unable to make the complete lens, so you have to make it for him. When you have made the lens piece you have to search for a ladder in the dungeon that goes to the observatory telescope.

After you do this talk to the professor. He says to use the telescope. You see a constellation and talk to him again.  You have then completed the quest.

Reward: Two Quest Points and Crafting Experience. If you talk to the professor by the telescope a few more times, he'll eventually give you a super stregnth potion and an uncut sapphire for fixing the telescope as well.
