By Anthrocat2 Members only skill Herblaw is the study of Herbs. In this game herblaw is used for making potions. They can help you in combat, restore your prayer, and even restore you stats. You can only do herblaw after you do the Druidic Ritual Quest. You find herbs by killing monsters. Most monsters drop herbs but skeletons drop the most.
All herbs look alike and are initially unidentified. When you find an unidentified herb, click it. If it says you need a higher herblaw level, store it, give it away, sell it, drop it-- do whatever you want with it because you can't identify it until you're a higher level. If you do identify it, congratulations!-- you may be able to make a potion. For some reason you can identify herbs before you can make the potions. It's very annoying at times but do not worry, you'll get there if you try hard enough. Oh, by the way, if you need a "ground unicorn horn" or "ground blue dragon scale" you need to use a pestle and mortar. To make a "pot" (potion) get a vial, "use" (right-click) the vial on a fountain or sink and then use the herb on it. Use the ingredient on the potion afterwards. Empty vials spawn at various places around RuneScape and many monsters drop them as loot. You can also improve your Crafting skills by making your own vials. In addition, some of the general stores sell vials with water already in them. Most potions will give you three drinks per vial, although taking all three at once does not improve the effect of the potion.
