Taking Care of Your Kitten

By Sir Gaz, Kadie, and esper_jones.

The quest reward from the Gertrudes cat quest is not only just an item. It is also a virtual pet, that grows by time and needs caring and attention. When you keep the kitten in your inventory it will by time express moods Such as hunger, and pure need for caring.

When the kitten is hungry it will let you know. Feed it with raw shrimps, sardines, anchovies, trout or salmon to make your kitten full and happy.

You also need to give it milk from time to time. Just get a bucket, find a cow, milk the cow and give the milk to your kitten.

And cats do like toys….right? Make a ball of wool and use it on the kitten and it will have something to do for a while

When in need of attention you can always stroke the kitten by clicking on it in your inventory.

However. If you neglect the kitten or just fail to take care of it, it will run away. It already did? No problem. You can always buy a new one from Gertrude for 100gp

Once you have fed and played with your kitten enough it will grow up to be a cat. At this point you no longer have to feed it nor play with it.

However, try using it on lvl 2 rats and see what happends..

You can also sell your fully grown cat for 25 death runes to a guy in West Ardounge. Close to the underground Passage entry.

Note: You can leave your kitten in the bank. The bankers will take good care of it.
