How many of you have been asking that very same question? "How can I help Runevillage?" Even if you haven't, I'm sure that you have seen hundreds upon hundreds of posts explaining it in various topics.

Below is a table with all of the areas that you can help out in, how to apply and so forth.

Team NameTeam LeaderDescriptionHow To Apply
Guide Writershead cheffA team for creating top-quality guides for Runevillage, as well as moulding and critiquing existing guides as a team.Private Message head cheff on The Pub!
Guide EditorsBlackmage172, Rocky MartinA team dedicated to editing the spelling and grammar of all of the completed Runevillage guides.Private Message Blackmage172, Rocky Martin on The Pub!
Guide CodersGamestarA team designed for converting all of the completly edited guides into HTML and PHP.Private Message Gamestar on The Pub!
The VillagerGamestar, Richboi and NathanRunevillage's very own newspaper! The team creates, edits and codes everything that goes into the monthly editions.Private Message Gamestar on The Pub!
The Database TeamDark PaladinA team dedicated to obtaining and inputting information to Runevillage's Item, Monster and Inhabitants Databases.Private Message Dark Paladin on The Pub, and / or contribute actively in the Database stickies.
Runevillage Events Team (RVET)Dark Paladin, Dr Henry, JaronThis group organises and runs monthly Runescape events for Runevillage!Private Message Dark Paladin, Dr Henry or Jaron on The Pub!
Website Submissions and CorrectionsVillage UploadersPost all submissions to Runevillage here. Corrections can also be posted.Post in the Website Submissions and Corrections forum in Village Square.
Village Uploadershiker, Henner, Glodenox and ApplequestA group of very trusted staff members with ability to upload and edit anything on RuneVillage. Please private message any of the members in this group for website corrections.

But you don't have to stop there!

If you don't feel like entering one of the usergroups, you can 'freelance', and submit without the commitment.

Databases:
Runevillage currently has two databases full of Runescape information! The Items Database and the Monsters Database. These are updated regularly by the Database Team, but they rely heavily one submissions from the public. To do this you simply have to take a screenshot of the item, or the monster and gather some stats about it, which Whydidijoin has placed in his post in the topics. Post it in either the Item Database Submission Thread or the Monster and Inhabitants Database Submission Thread in the RuneVillage.com Submissions & Corrections forum, and a member of the Database Team will place it in it's respective Database and give you credit for the submission!

The Villager:
Runevillage's very own newspaper, The Villager! Normally, to submit something to The Villager you have to go through the whole task of signing up to the usergroup, learn the tricks of the trade and so forth. But now, if you don't wish to sign up, or you want to freelance, simply send a Private Message to Gamestar with your submission and it will be added to the next Villager, with your name in the credits! But what can you submit? Well, you can submit anything. Really. Artwork, Articles, Interactives, Animations, Stories... anything, you name it!

Runevillage Quest Guides:
If you have seen the state of Runevillage's guides, you will notice that a lot of them need to be updated. Unfortunatly, we can't do this alone -- that's where you come in! Simply read the Like Questing? Help RV with our quest database! thread by Blackmage172, and you can start helping out Runevillage! You will also gain credit in the guide once it is uploaded!

Maps:
For the longest time now, Brainheart has been in charge of the maps that will be added to the Runevillage Guides. But he can't do this all on his own, and needs all the help he can get from you! Read up on the rules and regulations in the Runescape Maps thread, and try it out!

Other:

Does that all seem to daunting for you? Don't want to jump into the deep end? That's fine! There are many other things that you can do to help out Runevillage.

Dark Paladin has set up a thread in Runevillage Submissions & Corrections, Suggest a Guide Topic! If you think that Runevillage is missing something, simply post it there and our brilliant Guide Writers team, led by head cheff, will spring into action and get the guide written ASAP.
Have you found a minor error in one of the guides? Or maybe a major one?! It seems like it should be sorted out before anybody else falls prey to the misleading information. SImply post the error that you found in the Runevillage Submissions & Corrections forum, and one of our Uploaders will sort it out for you!

Rewards:

But, by now you have to be asking yourself, what is the point? Seriously, what is the point of doing all of this work, just to get your name on one guide, or on one Database entry?
Well, if you work hard, submit a lot of errors, submit many database entries or join some of the usergroups and help out actively, you might gain the most exclusive rank on Runevillage, the Village Staff rank! Currently, only a couple of members hold this rank as their default usergroup, making it the most exclusive rank on Runevillage, even above the Site Admin group! For more information, check out the So You Wanna Be A Staff/Legend? thread in Hikers Campfire.

That brings us to another point; you don't have to submit things to help out Runevillage! What is the easiest way to gain the respect of your fellow members? The easiest way to help out Runevillage, with no work required? Simple: Be Good! Whilst on the Runevillage.com forums, you behave yourself and post actively, ensuring that each time you post you are contributing to the thread, you will gain the respect of your fellow members. This is very important, because at Runevillage we try to ensure that we have the greatest community out there. We want our fansite to be the friendliest Runescape Website avaliable, and that can only be achieved by you. If you are good, you will encourage those around you to be good, and eventually we might achieve our goals!
Okay, ontop of that you might also become a Village Legend, just to make it all that much better!

And thats just about it. Remember, Runevillage.com isn't run by one person. We rely solely on your submissions, and your help. If you find something that you think should be added, or something that you think should be removed, then make it known! You can post it in the Runevillage Submissions & Corrections forum, or Private Message it to one of the leaders, found in the table above.

Unfortunately my computer will not permit me to see the table. I am more then willing to help Runevillage in anyway..... I'll try to look through and see if I can see something in which to provide information for.

lol...

I've been in and out of the database team and villager so many times I've lost count. It seems that everytime I joined, I would suddenly have no time to do anything because of IRL crap. It's summer now though, so I'll give it a thought.

Well, the RVA is more of a promotional group than a direct way to help RuneVillage. And correct me if I'm wrong, but the RVET's doors are currently closed, aren't they?

Great job, Gamey. :)
