Interview: With one of the Runescape Top Most Scammers [ The Offending Article ]

Most people don’t know this person, but his name is Game_King. He is one of runescape’s top 10 most wanted scammers. He scams up to 200 people a month and makes a profit of 500k to 1 million gold pieces (GP) a Month. Here is the Interview:

What made you scam people?
- Well, I used to get scammed as a noob, so I started to scam with my friends who are also wanted.

How much profit you get a month?
- Anywhere between 500k - 1 mill, if we get lower amounts it’s because we aren’t trying.

Have you ever been caught while doing the act?
- JAGeX has never even messaged me with a warning!

But during the scam have people ever said: "what are u doing u scammer?"
- Rarely. Some people can figure out what we are doing, but after scamming about 200 people we got (our routine) down very well.

What type of scams do you do? Name 2:
- The number 1 scam we do is an item scam, where we trick people to buy cheap items for tons of money.

But can u name the 2 cheapest ones, we don’t want to give anyone info
- Well the lowest I can get is scamming another scammer, like when I see a money duplicator guy. I’ll give him like 50k and show him about 400k and say if he dupes 50k ill do 400k and the same thing with armor upgrades.

What do you do while u do these scams? Are you nervous?
- Well, it depends on if the guy is a higher level character. They are always more suspicious, So I do get nervous when scamming level 90's and up

Are you ever scared to get banned? Why don’t you use another name to scam people?
- Getting banned has to be one of the hardest things runescape can do. Do you have any idea how many reports they probably get in one day from noobs (which are false alarms)? You have to get reported tons of times before you even get a warning.

You’re a member right? Do you get scared to loose all your stuff? Do you think JaGeX will hesitate to ban you because you’re a member? ($5.00 a month)
- Well, all I can say is if somehow I do get banned I deserve it, and won’t even try to get my account back, but JaGeX would probably not ban a member unless they have a lot of evidence.

Will you come back to runescape or move on?
- I would probably leave runescape and not bother coming back.
