Burgh de Rott is a town which can be found south of Mort'ton. It is mainly used in the In Aid of the Myreque Quest, in which you must set up a new headquarters for the Myreque. The town features a Bank, a relatively close Furnace, General Store, a shortcut to the Haunted Mines, a good training spot, a Mini-Game (Temple Trekking), and many Shark Fishing Spots. Its location makes it the perfect Bank for players who wish to do the Shades of Mort’ton and Barrows Mini-Games.

Three item respawn locations are listed as diamonds on the above map. The light blue diamond is a Bucket respawn, the purple diamond is a Hammer, which is found upstairs, and the orange diamond is a Bronze Pickaxe.

Similarly important Non-Player Characters (NPCs) are shown as circle on the map.

Green Circle: Florin
Florin is one of the citizens by the gate. He allows you at to start the quest "In Aid of the Myreque", and helps you through the first few steps of it.

Yellow: Aurel
Aurel is the owner of the General Store. He will help you through the fixing and stocking of the General Store during the quest. Aurel will also give you a Gadderhammer after you defeat Gadderanks. He allows you to access the General Store (see below) where you can buy supplies. If you lose your Gadderhammer, speak to Aurel and you can buy it back for 3000 Gold Pieces.

Blue: Cornelius
Cornelius is the town’s Banker. He will help you repair the Bank during the "In Aid of the Myreque" quest, and will then become the Banker. He will allow you to access your Bank account and change your PIN settings.

Monsters in the Town:
  • Level 1 Rats are scattered throughout the town.
  • Level 40 Loar Shades can be found around the gate area.
  • Level 45 Vampyre Juveniles can be found east of the town.
  • Level 54 Vampyre Juvinates can be found east of the town.
  • Level 61 Vampires can be found west of the town, over the low fence.
Town Features:
  1. Gate and Chest

This is the gate of Burgh de Rott, the chest can be found next to it. The gate is the only way you can enter Burgh de Rott. During the quest, you must put a piece of Cooked Food in the chest to be allowed through the gate; however, you do not need to do this subsequently.

  2. Temple Trekking Mini-Game

This is the start point for the Temple Trekking Mini-Game. In this Mini-Game, you must escort citizens through the swamps while avoiding, navigating, and killing any and all monsters and obstacles. Each citizen has a certain escort difficulty level. Items such as Food and Armor may be used to assist your citizen. When you successfully escort a citizen, you will receive a reward. The value of the reward depends on the difficulty level of the person that you have escorted. Talk to anyone of the citizens to begin.

  3. Well

This is a Well for all of your water-filling needs; there is also a Bucket respawn nearby.

  4. Inn

This is the Inn, although it has the beer symbol on the Mini-Map, you cannot currently buy Beer. It has a basement and a Rubble Pile out the back.

This is the basement, at the beginning of the Quest; you must clear the basement of 15 Rubble Piles. You can find items in the Rubble, if you are lucky enough. Once you have finished the "In Aid of the Myreque" Quest you can see the Myreque in their new headquarters shown above.

This Rubble Pile can be found at the back of the Inn. You can search it to find items that you may have found and discarded while clearing the Rubble Piles.

  5. General Store

This is the General Store. During the "In Aid of the Myreque" Quest, you must fix and stock it. It is also the center for the blood tithe along with your battle with Gadderanks and the Vampyre Juvinates later on. Here are the default stock and prices of the General Store:

Member's Only Items Shown In Yellow
    Picture Item Price Default Stock
Bronze Axe 20 Gold Pieces 10
    Tinderbox 1 Gold Piece 10
Thin Snail 6 Gold Pieces 10
Raw Mackerel 22 Gold Pieces 10

  6. Bank

This is the Burgh de Rott Bank. It can only be accessed after fixing and staffing it during the Quest. It has one Bank Booth and only one Banker, Cornelius. You can deposit and withdraw items and change your PIN settings here.

  7. Furnace

This is the Furnace. It is relatively close to the Bank, but it a good furnace for those wishing to have peace and quietness. You must fix it during the Quest before you are able to make use of it.

  8. Low Fence

This Low Fence on the west side of the town can be jumped over. It can be used as a shortcut to the Haunted Mines and it leads to an area with a few level 61 Vampires. If you try to jump the Low Fence you will take a few steps back then take a running leap over the fence. This leap does not give any Agility Experience.

  9. Fishing Spots

There are many Fishing Spots around Burgh de Rott. They are all Net/Harpoon Fishing Spots, or commonly known as Big Net and Shark Spots. These Fishing Spots are a good spot to fish sharks if you use them for Barrows, or even if you simply want a little peace and quietness while fishing.

  10. Vampyre Grounds

These are the Vampyre Grounds which can be found east of the town. They feature Vampyre Juvinates (level 54) and Vampyre Juveniles (level 45). The Juvinates can only be killed by using a Blessed Silver Sickle or a mixture of the Rod of Ivanis and Guthix Balance Potion. You will get a reward if you use a Guthix Balance Potion on a Vampyre after you have used the Rod of Ivanis.

Other Town Features:
  1. Everlasting fires which can be used to cook your food: The one east of the Bank is one of the closest Cooking Spots to a Bank currently in RuneScape.
  2. Teodor the Farmer: Currently there are no Farming Spots, but the presence of Teodor suggests that there may be in the future.
  3. A broken boat and rack: They may be used in the future to ferry you to some distant island.

After you complete the quest, the citizens will praise you for your work and answer certain questions you may have.
