The Tree Gnome Stronghold Guide

By: Lord thief

Edited By: Lord thief and King Zonk

Coded By: Glodenox and King Zonk

Here is a Map of the Gnome Stronghold containing reference Numbers and white X's.

The Numbers are Buildings detailed below by their corresponding Numbers.
The white X's are also Buildings but of no real significance.

    Outside

  1. This is the Main Entrance to the Gnome Stronghold. When you have Completed the Grand Tree Quest there isn't much else to do here other than Walking through.

  2. This is the Agility Training Course a great place to start your Agility Training; the Gnomes who train you take their job seriously by shouting things at you like, 'My Grandma can move faster than you'.

    Log Balance 8 Experience
    Obstacle Net 7 Experience
    Tree Branch 5 Experience
    Balancing Rope 8 Experience
    Tree Branch 5 Experience
    Obstacle Net 7 Experience
    Obstacle Pipe 8 Experience

Complete the Obstacles in order and get a Bonus of 45 Experience, giving you a total of 93 Experience each round.

  3. Four Houses tucked away in the Corner, three have a Spinning Wheel in them and the other is marked with a white X.

  4. One of two Gnome Banks; a Flax Plant two Squares from the Entrance makes this a unique Bank being a great place to gather Flax.

  5. Enter this Small Cave and walk to the end to find a Gnome named 'Brimstail'. Have him teleport you to the Rune Essence (since the Bank is a bit away therefore not handy). Next to Brimstail is a Chocolate Saturday respawn.

  6. Several Fishing Spots where you can fish for Trout, Salmon and Pike.

  7. This is where the Gnomes keep their Terrorbirds (Level 27) when they aren’t being used. There are quite a few around making this an ideal place for Lower-Level People to train.

  8. This House has no real importance but I just had to add it in since these must be the richest Gnomes around. Their Tree comes complete with a Bathroom sporting a Tub and even Pluming, I thought it was quite a funny sight.

  9. There are four 9's on the Map, all identify Seats overlooking the Gnomeball Field.

  10. The Gnomeball Field. To play, speak with the Referee, he will give you a Ball and explain the Rules.

Gnomeball Players each have these Options:
    • Pass: Allows you to ‘Shoot’ (the Ball) to the Gnomes on your Team. If they aren’t tackled they will ‘Shoot’ back as you run past them.

    • Tackle: Allows you to tackle a Gnome stunning them for a few seconds while you take an unchallenged Goal Shot.

    • Shoot: Get near the Goal and ‘Shoot’ at it. The closer you are the less you will miss.

For each Goal scored you gain Experience and the Cheerleader Squad comes out to celebrate your success. After five Goals you win the Match and earn a total of 52 Agility Experience

Winning the Game earns you a free Gnomeball to play with outside of the Field. You can throw it at your Friends by using it with them.

  11. This is one of Blurberry’s Bars. The other one is located inside the Grand Tree.
For more information about Cocktails and Prices see Blurberry Special

  12. This is Anita's House; the Girlfriend of Glough. After completing The Grand Tree Quest there is no need to return here.

  13. This is where to get Toads and King Worms for making Gnome Food.

For more Information see the Gnome Food Guide.

  14. Glough’s House. Upon Completion of the Grand Tree Quest you can still use Glough’s Secret Way into the Gnome Dungeon (Level 25 Agility needed)

  15. The Spirit Tree, of the Gnome Stronghold, is still available for use after Completing the Grand Tree Quest.

Using this Tree will allow you to Teleport to:
    • The Tree Gnome Village

    • The Forest north of Varrock

    • The Khazard Battlefield

  16. The Grand Tree has four Floors plus a Dungeon. Following are Maps of the Second Floor and up. Just like the Map above I added Numbers to identify points of interest.

    Second Floor

  1. The Grand Tree extends through each Floor with a Ladder providing travel to the next Floor.

  2. The second Gnome Bank is divided in two Parts:

  3. Aluft Gianni’s Food Restaurant.

The Waiters are an excellent source for a variety of Food.

      Prices:

    • Become a Cook

When you speak with Aluft he will give you a Cookbook, Batta Tin, Gnomebowl Mould and a Crunchy Tray.

      A) Before you can become a Waiter you will have to be trained.

      B) The Training goes as follows:

      C) Aluft will ask for a Food Dish and he will give you the Ingredients (sometimes you have to get a few yourself)

      D) When you have the Dish he requested Speak with him again. He will ask for another, this will be repeated several times (completely random which Dish he asks for). When you finally prepare and serve the final Dish he hires you to work for him.

TIP: Have a pen/pencil and paper ready to write down the Food Order that Aluft gives you.

      E) Speak with Aluft to begin your new Job. He will ask for several Gnome Foods at once, bring them all to him and receive your Pay (the amount depends on how large the Order was)(Don’t plan on making a fortune, the Experience you gain is more valuable).

Here’s a list of the NPC’s and their Combat Levels.

    Gnome Child Level 1
    Gnome Level 1
    Gnome Woman Level 1
    Gnome Guard Level 19
    Gnome Troop Level 1
    Terrorbird Level 28
    Mounted Terrorbird Gnome Level 29
    Giant Bat Level 27
    Rat Level 1
    Giant Rat Level 3

  • Other

The Gnome Stronghold isn't the best place to train Combat. However, it is a great place to train Woodcutting due to an abundance of Oak and Willow Trees. One Magic Tree resides inside.

Now you know all there is to know about the Gnome Stronghold. Use this Wisdom Wisely!

So why not fix yourself up with a few Cocktails and Play some Drunken Gnomeball? -------*Burp*-------*Oh my, ‘scuse me*----*hiccup*------*hiccup*----
