Requirement: Level 40 Crafting and wearing a Brown Apron The Crafting Guild, located west of Falador's southern exit and north of Rimmington, is an ideal place to work on your Crafting. It's a central location for Crafting Materials, such as Wool, Gold, Silver, Clay, and Leather. You must be wearing a Brown Apron to enter, where you will be greeted by the Master Crafter. Inside the main Room are four Pottery Wheels, a Pottery Oven, and a Sink. Spawns include a Chisel, an Amulet Mold, a Hammer, and two Jugs. This Room is ideal for Pottery work. Go to the south end of the Building to find the Sink to fill up your Jug, and to go Upstairs. Just to the east of the main Room is the Guild Mining Area, which includes 7 Gold Rocks, 6 Clay Rocks, and 6 Silver Rocks. Silver Rocks: Clay Rocks:
If Pottery is your thing, you can simply mine your Clay here, walk inside and wet it using a Jug at the Sink, then walk to the Pottery Wheels and get to work. Gold Rocks: For those mining Gold and Silver, the nearest Bank and Furnace is in Falador (on Pay-to-Play, head north past the Sheep and jump over the Crumbling Wall if you have 10 Agility). This Mine is the best Free-to-Play place to mine Gold or Silver. There are other Pay-to-Play Mines that can compete with it, but not many. Upstairs is a lot smaller: Spawns here include a Holy Symbol Mold, a Necklace Mold, and a pair of Shears. There are also two Spinning Wheels and a Tanner. Grab the Shears and head north of the Guild to find a small flock of Sheep hanging around near the Gate. Then bring the Wool Upstairs and use the Spinning Wheels to make Balls of Wool for stringing Amulets. The Tanner is particularly useful, because there are many Cows in the Pen outside just to the west. To make Leather efficiently, go to the Pen and collect the Hides that Low-Levels leave behind, go Upstairs and pay the Tanner 1 Gold Piece each for Soft Leather or 3 Gold Pieces each for Hard Leather to get them tanned, then craft them and drop the finished products. The Tanner also tans Dragon Hides for a suitable Fee. Remember that the nearest Crafting Supply Store is in Rimmington, in case you run out of Thread or forget your Needle. Hope you enjoy this Guide! |
