| The Monastery - Prayer Guild Guide |

You probably clicked the link to go here, thinking "Runescape has a Prayer Guild?" Most People would know it by its other name: the Monastery. The Monastery is located east of the Black Knight's Castle, west of Edgeville, and northwest of Barbarian Village.![]() The Monastery Grounds There's a Cabbage Patch on the north end, useful for the Black Knight's Fortress Quest. Talk to the nearby Monks as many times as you wish to have them heal you at a proportion of about 1/7th your current Combat Level. The Monastery is great and all on the outside, but the real treasure of it lies on the inside. To enter the Monastery, you need to have Level 31 prayer. There are several things to do once you're inside. The Monastery's Second Floor ![]() The Prayer Altar ![]() One of these is the Monastery's Altar. This is not an ordinary Altar by any means! It looks the same, and yet it holds a special power. Not only does it restore your Prayer Points, but as an added bonus it adds +2 to your Prayer Point count! So, for example, a Person with Level 60 Prayer, after going there, would have 62/60 Prayer! The West Room: Brother Jered In one of the western Rooms of the Monastery, you will see Brother Jered. By talking to Brother Jered, you can have him bless any regular Stringed Symbol of Saradomin and turn it into a Holy Symbol! ![]() The bonuses of wearing the Holy Symbol of Saradomin, once blessed, are as follows: ![]() The East Room: Robes and a Scorpion ![]() On the other side of the Monastery, to the east, is a Room with a Table and a Scorpion. The Scorpion is for the Scorpion Catcher Quest. Don't try to pick it up unless you're doing the Quest--it'll sting you. On the Table are two Monk Robes: a Robe Top and Bottom. When you wear both at once, it gives you the following bonus: ![]() |
