Requirements: 42 Agility, 45 Crafting, 50 Smithing, 40 Ranged.

Need to have done the following Quests:
  • Pirate's Treasure
  • Rum Deal
Items Needed: None, however you will encounter Level 57 Pirates so if you are a lower Level you may want to bring some Food.

Note: If you have not yet done the Ghosts Ahoy Quest you will require Ectotokens and an Amulet of Ghostspeak to enter the City of Port Phasmatys. Ectotokens these can be obtained by worshipping at the Ectofunctus. In order to worship you will need to get a Bucket of Slime from the Basement below the Ectofunctus and some Bonemeal; this is created by grinding some Bones on the Floor above the Ectofunctus. You will need a Pot to get Bonemeal. After you're done worshipping you can collect the Tokens from a Disciple.

Starting Point: Speak to Bill Teach in Port Phasmatys, he is located in the Inn.

  1. The pink dot is where you will find Bill Teach and the red dot is his Ship.

  2. When you speak with Bill Teach he will tell you that his Crew deserted him and that there is a Ship waiting to take him down when he sails out of Port. Agree to be on his Crew and he will think you will make a lousy Pirate but that you're eager.

  3. Walk east to Bill's Ship and board it. If you cannot find his Ship, use the Map of the area above; his Ship is the red dot. Speak with Bill Teach again, agree with him again and you will sail off.

  4. After the cutscene Bill Teach will ask you to destroy the Pirates' Cannon by boarding their Ship. Make your way below Deck and collect the Tinderbox from the Floor, also pick up two Ropes from the Repair Locker and a Fuse from the Gun Locker while you are there.

  5. On the main Deck climb the climbing Net and use your Rope with the hoisted Sail this will make you jump towards the enemy Vessel. There is a chance you will fail the jump and you will have to swim towards the Boat, this drains your energy.

  6. On the enemy Boat you should see a Powder Barrel next to the Cannon, use your Fuse on it. Light the end of the Fuse using your Tinderbox. When the Cannon is destroyed head back to your Ship by using a Rope on the enemy's hoisted Sail.

  7. Speak with Bill Teach again and he will want you to fix the Ship. Head below Deck and collect a Hammer, 3 Repair Planks, 30 Tacks and 3 Swamp Pastes. Fill up each Hole and then use the Swamp Paste to finish it off. Speak with Bill Teach again after you have completed this.

  8. Bill Teach now wants you to plunder the enemy Vessel! Head back to the Pirates' Ship via the same method as before (see step 4) and collect 10 Pieces of Plunder by searching the Barrels, Crates and Chests in the enemy's Hold. Go store the plunder you obtained in the Chest below Deck and return for more plunder. When you have 10 Pieces of Plunder stored in your Ship, in the Chest below Deck, speak with Bill Teach again.

  9. It is now time to master the art of Cannon firing. Bill Teach wants you to shoot at the Pirate Crew, but first of all you will need to fix the Cannon. Head below Deck and collect the Cannon Barrel from the Gun Locker. Now use the Repair option on the Cannon and it will be fixed. Speak to Bill Teach again and he will teach you how to fire the Cannon!

  10. Head below Deck and collect a Ramrod, Fuse and Canister from the Gun Locker. Head back to the Cannon and collect some Gunpowder from the Powder Barrel. Use the Powder on the Cannon, then the Ramrod, add the Canister and finally use the Fuse on the Cannon. You will now be able to fire the Cannon, so fire it! (Make sure a pirate is standing at the opposite side on the enemy ship) After you have fired the Cannon speak to Bill Teach again.

  11. Now its time to send the enemy Vessel down to Davy Jones' Locker. For all you landlubbers out there, it basically means that it is time to blast the Pirates' Ship to smithereens! Collect 3 Fuses and 3 Cannonballs from the Gun Locker and 3 Pieces of Gunpowder from the Barrel. Now be sure to use your Ramrod on the Cannon each time you fire or else the Cannon will blow up. Since you have just fired the Cannon, use your Ramrod on it. Add Gunpowder, the Ramrod again, a Cannonball and then add your Fuse so you can fire away! Repeat this two more times, but be sure to use the Ramrod after each shot.

  12. After you have finished the firing of the third shot another cutscene begins, just sit back and enjoy the show. After the cutscene is complete the Quest will be complete.

    Congratulations! Quest Complete!

You have completed Cabin Fever!

The Little Book o' Piracy is needed to be able to shop in the new Town. So it is important to keep it if you wish to have access to the Stores located in the Town. After the Quest you can also collect 10,000 Gold Pieces from Bill Teach as your share of the Plunder.

The Town

According to Pirate the Town of Mos Le'Harmless is the second best place for a Pirate to hang out. It used to be the best Pirate Town until Brimhaven build that fancy Agility Arena. Inside the Town you can buy several items that will suit a Pirate's needs.

In the Town's Clothes Shop you can buy four sets of different colored Pirate Leggings, Shirts and Bandannas and one pair of Pirate Boots. The Shirts are 300 Gold Pieces each, the Legs are 350 Gold Pieces each, the Bandannas 100 Gold Pieces each and the Boots are 350 Gold Pieces. Here is an image of the Shop along with an image of the Clothing looks:

Besides the Pirate Clothes a good Pirate needs a sturdy Weapon to suit his needs. Luckily this Town comes with its own Smith. You can find the Smith on the Docks, with the inventive name of Smith. He sells some normal Scimitars however any respectable Pirates will want something better! So instead of trading Smith, talk to him and ask about Cutlasses. He will inform you that he has 3 Swords in stock. Pick one and he will also tell the tale of the previous owner and the price of the Sword. Sadly the Swords cannot be traded.

You can pick these Swords:

Name Attack Stats Defence Stats Other Stats Price
Brass Hand Harry's Cutlass Stab: +3, Slash: +14, Magic: -5 Stab: +4, Slash: +4, Crush: +4 Strength: +22 1,040 Gold Pieces
