Starting the Quest Head south of 'the Hair of a Dog Tavern,' Canifis' Inn, you should see the Trapdoor from the In Search of the Myreque Quest. ![]() Head down the Trapdoor and you will appear in the Inn's Basement. Head south to the Wall and then click on it to go through. Continue south until you reach the end of the Cave. Go through the Large Wooden Doors to appear outside of Mort Myre Swamp. ![]() Head south of the Wooden Doors, which you just came through, to a Rope Bridge. Click on the Tree to climb up. Then you must click along the Path of the Rope Bridge to cross it. When you reach the end, right click the southern Tree and select Climb Down. Continue directly south of the Rope Bridge until you see a symbol on your Mini-Map which should indicate that there is a Boat you can travel on. Click on the Swampy Boat to travel to Mort'ton.![]() Head south of Mort'ton and cross the Bridge to Burgh de Rott. Click on the Gates to enter and then head directly to the Inn's Basement where the Myreque Hideout is now located. The Inn is located in the middle of the Town, southeast of the Gates. Accepting the Mission Speak to Veliaf Hurtz, the Non-Player Character who is holding a Sickle. He will tell you about starting the second phase of operations which will involve intelligence in the Sanguinesti region. To start the Quest, ask if there is anything you can do to help out. Then ask all four Chat options to find out more information about the Sanguinesti region. ![]() Go back upstairs of the Inn and then head south of the Inn for the Bank. Bank and take out 2 Plank, 8 Nails, 1 Hammer, and 1 Knife. It is recommended that you bring something to teleport out with, such as your Ectophial, because the Path you will need to take is very long. Repairing the Boat Head southeast of the Bank and follow the Path to the eastern Docks. You will see a small Boat stationed at the Docks. Search the Boat. Then use your Plank on the Boat to repair it. Then right click the Boat and trying Pushing it. You will find out that the Boat Slipway is broken. Head south of the Boat and click on the Boat Chute to search it. You will find out you need to repair this too. Use your other Plank on the Boat Chute to repair it. ![]() Now go back to the Boat and right click again to Push it. It will slip down the Boat Chute and float beside the Docks. Head over to the Docks and click on the Boat to board it. You will travel to the east of Burgh de Rott. Once you arrive, click on the lowest part of the Wall of Rocks that are north of the Boat to jump onto it. You will notice a lot of flying level 120 Vyrewatches. They do not attack you. They merely try to stop you and take a bite out of you. Select the option where you will fight back and they will leave you alone. ![]() The Sanguinesti Region Then click on the Rocks west of you to climb up. Then head north until you notice that that your dialogue screen says, "The Floorboards seem to squeak a little as you go past." Click on the Floorboards to search it. Then right click it to Kick-down the Floorboards. Right click the Floorboard again and climb-down. ![]() You will appear on the ground level of the Sanguinesti region. Head north a bit and click on the Wall-Rubble on the eastern Wall to climb over it. Head northeast of the Wall-Rubble and look for a Man named Trader Sven. Speak to Trader Sven. Use all of the *whisper* chat options to speak to him. He will tell you to speak to Old Man Ral who lives in the center of Sector one. Ask Trader Sven if he can introduce you to Old Man Ral and he will tell you to say that a friend has sent you to speak to him. ![]() In the small House directly in the middle of Sector one, you should be able to spot Old Man Ral who is wearing brown Clothing with a Hat and is holding a Stick. He has a white Beard and looks pale. Speak to him and ask if he knows anything about the Myreque. Then say that someone has told you that he will help. He will ask what that Person said about him. Select, "Old man Ral, sage of Sanguinesti." ![]() The Journey to the Myreque in the Sanguinesti Region He will then tell you to follow the Symbols to find the hidden People you are looking for. Now head into the House that is southwest of Old man Ral's location. It should be the most western House that has a Ladder in it. Climb up that Ladder. ![]() Head to the southern opening of the upper level of that House and right click the Floorboards on the northern part of the Building directly south of the one you are in. There should be an option to Jump-to the next Building. Then walk east and jump to the eastern Building using the same method. ![]() Head into the northern Room of the Building you have jumped to. You will notice a Sickle Logo on the Wall. To the east of that Wall is a Pushable Wall. Right click it and select Push. ![]() The Wall should fall down and become a Floorboard for you to walk across to the next Building. Click on the Floor to walk across it. On the north Wall of this small Room, you will notice a small opening. Right click it and select Crawl-under. ![]() Head into the northern Room of this Building and if you look on the west Wall, you will notice another Sickle Logo. Right click and push the Wall north of the Logo. Then click on the Floor to walk across it to the next Building. Then climb down the Ladder. ![]() In the same Room as the Ladder which you have climbed down from, search the western Table. You will discover a Trapdoor. Click on it again to open. And then climb into the Trapdoor-Tunnel. You will crawl into the northern Building of Sector one. On the north Wall of that Building, you should notice another Sickle Logo. Right click the Shelves on the Wall east of the Logo to climb up. ![]() Head to the eastern Wall and right click the most northern Wall of the east Wall. You should see the option to Crawl-under the Wall to head into the eastern Room. Head east and right click the closest opening of Floorboards of the Building east of the one you are standing in to jump to the into it. Climb down the Ladder and then head further east until you reach another Sickle Logo beside a locked Door. Search the Pots underneath the Sickle Logo. You should be able to find a Door Key. ![]() Then click on the Door and you will unlock it. The Door Key will be stuck in the Door but you will have no problem opening the Door again. Head east until you reach the Ladder within the Building. You will notice another Sickle Logo. Climb up the Ladder. ![]() There will be an opening on the southern Wall once you have climbed up the Ladder. Right click the Floorboards in the southern Building to jump across. Then head into the south eastern Room, pass the level 120 Vyrewatch, and climb up the Shelves. ![]() Then in that Room, climb up the Ladder. On the southern side of this level, right click and jump to the southern Building. Climb down only one Ladder from this level then head east. You should be able to see a Washing Line of Clothing which you can walk across. Walk across the Washing Line. ![]() Climb down the Ladder of the Building which you entered. Then head north of the Ladder which you climbed down from and push the northern Wall. Click on the Floor to walk across it to the north Building. ![]() Head north of the Floor which you just walked across and just before you enter the northern Room with the Ladder in it, there will be Shelves beside the Entrance of the Room. Right click and climb up those Shelves. Then head to the northeast corner of the Room and on the east opening, there will be more Shelves. Right click to climb down those Shelves. ![]() Head north and right click the closest part of the northern Building, which is the southeast corner of that Building, to jump across it. Then run north and right click the closest part of the Building north of the one you just jumped onto. Run north of the Room and there will be an opening at the eastern Wall. Right click the Floorboards of the Building east of the one you are standing in to jump across. Then head further east and climb up the Ladder. Head west of this Room and you should see the top half of a Ladder on the western Wall. Click on it to search. You will obtain a Ladder Top. ![]() Now climb down the Ladder again. In the middle of the Room should be a Broken Ladder. Search it and you will discover that it has been broken into two. Use your Ladder top on the Broken Ladder to repair it. ![]() Climb down the Ladder and you will appear on the ground level. Head into the House that has a Ladder in it that is directly north of the Ladder which you climbed down from. There are three Buildings which have Ladders in them: one which you just climbed down from, one north of that Ladder, and one further north. Go into the Building that is further north. The Building is square shaped and small. Climb up the Ladder in the small Building. Head east and right click the Floorboard of the eastern Building to jump to it. Then climb down the Staircase. Head to the south east corner of the Room you just entered and there should be a searchable Wall. Search the Wall. ![]() It will say that you can use a Knife on it to unlock it. Use your Knife on the Wall and then right click the Wall and push it open. Head south into the small area and you should see a Decorated Wall. Search it and then press it. It will say that you hear a click in the middle of the Room. Click on the Lumpy Rug and a Trapdoor will open. Quickly click on the Trapdoor to enter it before it closes again. ![]() You will appear underground. Head north until you reach the end. You will see a Man named Vertida Sefalatis. Speak to him. ![]() He will give you a Message to deliver to Veliaf Hurtz. It is recommended that you teleport out of here unless you enjoyed the journey it took to get to Vertida Sefalatis. Otherwise, use the Guide above and work your way out again, back to Veliaf Hurtz in Burgh de Rott. Delivering the Message Make your way back to Veliaf Hurtz in the Inn of Burgh de Rott to give him the Message. He will tell you that it is bad news. Ask what you can do. He will tell you to speak to Drezel. If you have an Ectophial, use it to teleport to Port Phasmatys and make your way to Canifis. Otherwise, you can use the shortcuts from the In Search of the Myreque Quest to go back to Canifis (you will need 10 Gold Pieces to board the Swampy Boat), or teleport to Varrock and walk from there. Head into the Temple on the Salve River, located west of Canifis, and east of Varrock. Speak to Drezel who is located inside the lower level of the Temple. Talk to him about the Darkness of Hallowvale. ![]() Ask all chat options to find out more information. Then head into the main Entrance of the Temple by going west of Drezel, pass the Well and Temple Guardian, then upstairs to appear outside, just north of the Entrance of the Temple. Head south and then down the Steps to the Temple. Just south of the Stairs will be a bunch of Bushes. Click on the most south eastern Bush to search it. ![]() This will trigger a short Cutscene. You will be knocked out. Now head back into the ground level of the Temple where Drezel is and report back to him. He will give you Varrock Teleport Runes and tell you to speak to King Roald of Varrock. Teleport to Varrock and head north into the Castle to speak to King Roald. Talk to the King about Morytania. He will then tell you to report back to Veliaf about this. Speak to King Roald again and he will ask his Spiritual Advisor to teleport you back to Drezel. Make your way back to Veliaf Hurtz in the Inn of Burgh de Rott. Tell him that King Roal cannot send Troops then ask what to do now. He will tell you to go back to Vertida Sefalatis in Meiyerditch and report to him. Make sure you have something to teleport out with and a Knife again. You will also notice that if you get caught by the Vyrewatches, you will either have the option to mine for them, get tithed or distract them. If you select the option to mine for them, you can get to the Hideout faster. Read below. Shortcut to the Hideout Have a Level 120 Vyrewatch interested in you. They will tell you to either give them a bite out of you or mine for them. If you select to mine for them, you will be teleported to their underground Mines. Speak to a Level 54 Juvinate Guard. He will tell you to mine a full Cart load of Ores before you can go. Speak to one of the Meiyerditch Miners and ask for a spare Pickaxe. They will give you a Bronze Pickaxe. Click on the Ore Deposits on the Wall called Daeyalt Ores. Each Deposit will give you three Daeyalt Ores. You will need to mine fifteen Ores for a full load. Once you have fifteen of them, use the Ores on the Mine Cart to fill it up. The Mine Carts are located in the middle of the Cave. Then speak to one of the Juvinate Guards again and you can leave. You will appear upstairs on the ground level of Sector 6. Make your way south until you reach the area of the Broken Ladder which you repaired earlier. Then continue on the Path to the Hideout. Note that the option to work in the Mines only appears after you have repaired the Broken Ladder. Once you reach Vertida, tell him the news. He will tell you to look for Safalaan, the leader of the Myreque in Meiyerditch. Ask where he is and what does he look like. Speak to Vertida again and he should offer to take you back to the Ladder in Sector 1 where the journey to the Hideout began. Once he brings you to the Ladder, make your way back up to the squeaky Floorboards which you kicked down, head north of them until you reach a Ladder. Climb down that Ladder. Look at the Rocky Surface, east of the Ladder which you have climbed down from, and it should tell you that Vertida has told you to look at this to go pass your obstacle. Right click and search the Rocky Surface. It would say that you hear some mechanical clicking. Then you should be able to open the Barricade Wall, north of the Ladder. Go through the Barricade Wall. ![]() Head north and climb up the Ladder at the end of the Path. Head north again and climb up another Ladder. Continue north and climb down a Ladder. Then continue running north until you reach a larger Platform. There will be a Man in purple named Safalaan. Speak to him. ![]() Sketching the Castle Tell him about King Roald then offer to help sketch. You will need to sketch the northern, western, and southern sides of the Castle. He will give you 1 Charcoal and 3 Papyrus to sketch. If you mess up or lose any of them, you can go back to Old Man Ral located in the middle of Sector 1. Run along the west Path, west of Safalaan, which happens to be a huge Wall. Continue along this Path and you will notice the Grand Castle that this Wall is surrounding. Make your way around to the north side of this large Castle. On the Path that you run on, you will notice a Sickle Logo which you must stand on. Stand on it and then use your Charcoal on your Papyrus to draw. ![]() Now head back again and try to spot the second Sickle Logo on the western side of the Castle. Stand on it and use your Charcoal on your Papyrus again to draw. This should trigger a short Cutscene. Then head south along the Wall again on the Path which you took until you see the third Sickle logo on the southern Wall. This Sickle Logo is located near the Platform which Safalaan was on. Once you sketch the southern part of the Castle, Vanstrom Klause will spot you. He will then attack you. Let Vanstrom defeat you and he will be interrupted by Sarius Guile. ![]() Finding and Delivering Another Message You will regain consciousness and Sarius Guile will inform you that you need to deliver a Message to the Myreque. Before you go again, remember to get the third and last sketch of the southern side of the Castle. Now make your way south again climbing all those Ladders. Then head back through the Barricade again. Head back to the squeaky Floorboard which you kicked down to get to get into the City of Meiyerditch. Use the Guide above to make your way through the Path to the Hideout again. Or you can use the shortcut to get to the location quicker (see SHORTCUT TO HIDEOUT above). This time, make your way to Sector 3. The Fireplace which you must look for is in the middle of Sector 3. Sector 3 is the area after which you need to climb up Shelves, then down more Shelves, jump Floorboards three times, then down the Broken Ladder which you repaired earlier. ![]() If you get confused, use this Map: ![]() Head into the Building that is north of the Ladder which you repaired and climbed down from. North of that Ladder is a Fireplace which you can look at. Look at the Fireplace. Then use your Knife on the Fireplace. You will obtain a Message. ![]() Directly south of the Fireplace and the Ladder will be a Portrait on the south Wall of this Building. Right click and look at it. Then use your Knife on the Portrait. You will slash it apart. Search the Portrait and you will find a Large Ornate Key. ![]() Now continue along the Path to the Myreque Hideout in Meiyerditch. Speak to Safalaan. Give him all three of your Sketches and then the Message from Sarius Guile. Read the Message from Sarius Guile yourself to find and investigate the location which the Message mentions. Head back upstairs, through the Wall, up the Stairs, and then back down into Sector 3. From there, make your way directly north as far as possible until you reach a Building on the eastern Wall with a Yellow Tapestry in it. Use your Knife again and slash the Tapestry. Right click the Tapestry to walk through. ![]() There will be a Vampyre Statue located on the south east Corner of this Room. Search the Statue and then use your Large Ornate Key on the Statue. Then you should be able to walk through the Door on the east side of the Room. Go through it and climb down the Stairs. ![]() Now head to the west side of the Room and search the Broken Rune Case. You will receive 1 Law Rune, 3 Fire Runes, 3 Air Runes, 1 Water Rune, and 1 Mind Rune. ![]() Then head south a bit and you will notice that there is a Book called Haemalchemy on the Table. Cast Telekinetic Grab on the Book to obtain it. ![]() Now head back upstairs and make your way south to the Myreque Hideout in Meiyerditch again. Hand Safalaan the Haemalchemy Book which you found. He will then give you a Shortcut Key and a Sealed Message to give to Veliaf Hurtz. Make your way back to Veliaf Hurtz by either teleporting out or make your way back using the long Path through Meiyerditch. Note that you can now use the Shortcut Key to get through the City easily. There will the Doors which have the Sickle Logo on it. Use the Key on those Doors to unlock them. Hand the Sealed Message to Veliaf Hurtz in the Inn of Burgh de Rott by speaking to him. He will thank you for your deeds and give you a Tome of Experience. Congratulations! Quest Complete! Reward
Shortcut Key This Key is used on the Doors in Meiyerditch which have a Sickle Logo on them. It will be much easier to travel to the Hideout in Meiyerditch using this Key. Tome of Experience There are three Chapters within this Tome. When you read one Chapter, you are able to select a Skill of your choice and you will be rewarded with 2,000 Experience Points for that Skill. There are three Chapters in total so you will be rewarded 6,000 Experience Points in total from this Tome. |
