Special Thanks To: Doodle, Andreka0, Weirdocal and Rarius

Requirements: Items Needed:
  • Seal of Passage
  • Hammer
  • Goutweed (Can be obtained in Trollheim Mountain through the Eadgar's Ruse Mini-Game)
  • Pestle and Mortar
  • Tinderbox
  • At least three different types of Food (You'll need twenty pieces of Food by the end and Wine or Sweets are not allowed)
  • Astral Rune
Recommended Items:
  • Good Armour
  • Good Weapon
  • Good Food (Swordfish or above, preferably Sharks)
  • Super Set (Super Attack, Super Defense and Super Strength potions)
  • Runes to perform the Lunar spell "NPC Contact" several times
Starting Point:
  • Fallen Man in the Cave northeast of the city. Go to the cave northeast of the Moon Clan Hideout, through the Suqah Monsters, down the stairs to the Rune Essence Mine, you will notice a Cave there, crawl trough it.

  • Use your Food on the Fallen Man until he wakes up, swapping Food each time (he doesn't want the same Food twice in a row).

  • Speak with him several times, each time picking encouraging comments and topics. Do this until he sits up. Speak again. He reveals his name to be Cyrisus.

  • Continue giving him Food and positive comments until both Health and Spirit reach 70% (You can see his progress by clicking the "Investigate" option). He'll then stand up with your help. He'll tell you that he needs a few Items.

  • Go seek out his friend, 'Bird's-Eye' Jack, in the Bank. After a long argument, pick out some Armour and a Weapon and put them in the Chest for Cyrisus.

  • Return to Cyrisus and let him try on the Items. If he likes it, he'll say "Perfect!", and you'll be just fine. Otherwise, return to the Bank for some new Items for him to try on. NOTE: To save time, use the "NPC Contact" Lunar spell and speak with him to see if you have the right Items. You will need these Items in the Chest: Dragon Medium Helmet, Ahrim's Robetop, Ahrim's Robeskirt, Ranger Boots and the Abyssal Whip.

  • Once you have the right Items, give him more Food and compliments to raise his Health and Spirit to 100%.

  • Once this has happened, exit the Cave and head to the Oneiromancer, south east of the city. Speak with her, and she'll tell you that you need to place Water, a ground Astral Rune and Goutweed into a Vial and light the Ceremonial Brazier to help Cyrisus with his fear.

  • Put some Water into the Vial and then the Goutweed. Take a Hammer and use it on an Astral Rune. Use the Astral Rune Shards on a Pestle and Mortar to get Ground Astral Rune. Use this on the Vial to make a Dream Potion.

  • Go to the Brazier in the center of the Island; Cyrisus will be there waiting for you. When you get there, light the Brazier with your Tinderbox and then give the Potion to Cyrisus. WARNING: Be prepared when you give Cyrisus the Potion. The Monster in the next area has high-leveled forms, including a Level 343 that spawns Minions to attack you, and you cannot use any Prayers. Make sure you have taken all precautions to prepare yourself. You may exit at any time while fighting, simply click on the Lectern. Also, if you happen to die or leave during the battle, you will not need to make another Dream Potion.

  • After watching a small conversation, drink a dose of your Super Potions (if you have them) and choose the "Attack" option on "The Inadequacy" (Level 343). He is the hardest of all forms as he spawns little Minions, "A Doubt", to attack you and has very powerful attacks. Kill this beast (NOTE: Throughout the fight, Cyrisus will aid you by dealing out damage or casting protective Spells).

  • Next up is "The Untouchable" (Level 274). This Monster doesn't hit very often, but the attacks are powerful. Kill this Monster as well.

  • "The Everlasting" (Level 223) is the next Monster for you to kill. This one is much easier than the other two forms.

  • The easiest of all forms, "The Illusive" (Level 108), is the final form that you must kill. This Monster doesn't do much damage and is easy to kill. However, it digs all around the Arena, causing the battle to be very long.

  • After killing "The Illusive", you will convince Cyrisus to kill the Monster once and for all. He'll stomp on the "The Illusive" (Level 1), and you have finished the battle.

  • Return to the Oneiromancer and Cyrisus to claim your reward.
