Start Point: Taverley

To start: Speak to Sanfew

Quest Length: Medium

Minimum Requirements:

Must have completed Troll Stronghold Quest
Must have completed Druidic Ritual Quest
Level 31 Herblore

Items Needed: 2 Logs, Knife, Pineapple, 5 Raw Chickens, 10 Grain, Vodka, Pestle and Mortar, Ranarr Weed, Vial of Water, Tinderbox, Climbing Boots, Decent Armor, Teleport Runes and Food

1. Talk to Sanfew up the Stairs of the Taverley Herblore Shop.

2. Ask Sanfew for work, and he will tell you to go to the Troll Stronghold for an Herb called Goutweed.

3A. Head up to the Troll Stronghold, head east, past "Dad", and north into the Winding Maze.

3B.After you have completed the Troll Stronghold, you can use Tenzing's Backdoor Entrance and the Secret Backdoor into the Stronghold, (much faster and avoids lots of injury). Navigate around the inside of the Stronghold exiting from the top Floor. After exiting head east.

4. In the middle of the Winding Maze (in a Cave) is Mad Eadgar, talk to him.

5. Ask about Goutweed, Eadgar will tell you to talk to the Troll Cooks.

6. Head out of the Maze and west again into the Troll Stronghold.

7. Upon entering the Stronghold, head south and down the Stairs, and talk to "Burntmeat", the Troll Cook.

8. Burntmeat will ask for you to get him a "Tasty Human" before he gives you his Secret Recipe of Goutweed.

9. Go back to the center of the Maze, (enter the Cave again) and talk to Eadgar again. He will ask for a Parrot from a Zoo.

10. Head to the north end of Ardougne Zoo and talk to Parroty Pete, ask him what he feeds them, and he will say that Pineapple Chunks are their favorite. He will also tell you about someone who put Vodka in their Water.

11. Grab Vodka, and Pineapple (from Heckle Funch in the Gnome Stronghold), use your Knife with the Pineapple "Dice" it to make Chunks, use the Vodka with Pineapple Chunks (to make "Alcho-Chunks", be careful not to Eat or Drink them while doing this) and give to the Parrots (through the Aviary Hatch). You volunteer to take the Parrot to the Vet, instead: go back to Eadgar.

12. Now that you have your very own Drunk Parrot. Make your way back to Eadgar, he mentions the Parrot must Speak like a Human, Smell like a Human, Taste like a Human, and Look like a Human.

13. For the Parrot to Speak, head west into the Stronghold, (then north, down the Stairs, through the Prison Door, and more Stairs, then south to the Prisons) north of the Prison Cells is a Torture Rack, use the Parrot (and hide it) with the Rack. Leave the Parrot there for a while as we do the next steps.

14. To Smell like a Human, talk to Sanfew and ask for Dirty Clothes, he will tell you to talk to Tegid (who's doing his Laundry outside, south of the Herb Shop), he will refuse to give them to you (until you say Sanfew won't be happy). He then gives you the "Dirty Robes".

15. To Look and Taste, grab the one Log, five Raw Chicken, ten Grain and bring these to Eadgar along with your "Dirty Robe". Eadgar will now ask for a "Troll Thistle" to make a Truth Potion.

16. The Troll Thistle is above the Cave, at the top of the Maze Mountain (NOTE: These also spawn all over the Mountain, so you may have to look around more if its not there). You then need to dry it: so bring Logs and a Tinderbox and start a Fire. Use the Thistle with the Fire, then grind the Dry Thistle with your Pestle and Mortar. Now use your Ranarr Weed + Vial of Water (mix these) and put the Ground Thistle into the Unfinished Potion for your "Troll Potion".

17. Talk to Eadgar (again), he will tell you to get your Parrot back.

18. Head back to the Prison, and grab your Parrot.

19. Head back to Eadgar once more, he will show you the Scarecrow in the dialog window and give you the "Fake Man".

20. Take the Fake Man to the Troll Cook ("Burntmeat"), he will reward you with a piece of Burnt Meat. He will tell you that the Trolls picked all the Goutweed and put it all in a Storeroom, and that the Key is in the Fake Bottom of the Kitchen Drawer.

21. Open the Kitchen Drawers east of him, and Search them for the Key.

22. Now head down the Staircase to the Storeroom, open the Door and enter a fun Game of hide from the Trolls.

23. Try to make it through the Storeroom without getting seen (otherwise they will attack you for quite a bit of damage, and you will be teleported back out to try again.) Have fun with this part (the best trick is to just run straight for it, don't try to time the Trolls, I found that trying to time the Trolls is too hard—if you're having Health problems, turn on Protection From Ranged, Prayer also).

24. Grab the Goutweed from the Crates quick, and head back to Sanfew for your Reward.
