  • Tough Guy (level-75)
  • Bandit Champion (level-70)

Starting the Quest
  1. Go to Al Kharid, and talk to Ali Morrisane, East of the Gem Stall. Ask Ali why he's selling at a Stall. Reply with, "I'd like to help you but....". You are asked to find his Nephew. His Nephew's name is "Ali" and lives in Pollnivneach. Buy a Fake Beard and Karidian Headpiece from him for one Gold Piece each. Use the Fake Beard and Headpiece together for a Disguise.

  2. Pollnivneach is southeast of the Desert Mining Camp, south of the Shantay Pass. If you run to the Town, you do not need the Waterskin. If not, buy one Waterskin(4) from Shantay. The Desert effects will stop after you have entered Pollnivneach. Buy a Pass from Shantay, give the Pass to one of the Guards, and head to the Town.

  3. Go to the Bar in the south centre of Town, in here you will find Drunken Ali. Buy him a couple of Beers and he will tell you about the two Gangs that are in Pollnivneach.

  4. Speak to a member of both Gangs, the Bandits are in the north part of Town, while the Menaphites are in the south part. Ask them if the feud will stop when both Gangs get their Camels back. Head into the Camel Shop and buy two Camels, give one Camel certificate to each Gang.

  5. The Camels did not put an end to the feud, so its time to join one of the Gangs. Speak with Ali the Operator and ask to join his Gang. You must prove to him that you are trustworthy by Pick-Pocketing three Villagers.
    1. The first Villager is easy, just Pick-Pocket him.
    2. To Pick-Pocket the second Villager bribe a Street Urchin to distract him.
    3. To Pick-Pocket the third Villager speak with Ali the Operator, he will give you an Oak Blackjack. Use this to knockout a Villager and then Pick-Pocket him.

  6. After this speak with Ali the Operator again, he will want you to steal the Mayor's Jewels from his Safe. For this part make sure you have your Disguise and Gloves on. When you're sure you have them on hide behind the big Cactus near the Mayor's House. When you get the Message saying its safe to go in, go in. Once inside make your way up to the second Floor and search the Painting, behind it is the Safe. Open it using the following combination: 1,1,2,3,5,8 and grab the Jewels.

  7. Give these to Ali the Operator and he will have another task waiting. You must find the Gang Traitor, speak to one of the Gang members and they will tell you it has to be Traitorous Ali. Report this to Ali the Operator and he will ask you to kill him. Make your way into the bar and speak with the bartender to find out the lonesome beer is from Traitorous Ali.

  8. Go into the House on the Hill and speak with the Old Hag. She'll tell you she needs Ingredients to make Poison to kill Traitorous Ali. For the first Ingredient, she will need a Snake.

  9. Go to the Snake Charmer, south of the Bar. You'll find him sitting on the Ground, against the Wall. Use your Money on his Money Pot beside him. It will automatically deduct two Gold Pieces from your Inventory. You get the Charmer's attention and then ask him for a Snake Kit.

  10. Go southwest of Town and use the Snake Charm near the Snake. You will see yourself playing the Charm. It will automatically pick up the Snake and be placed inside the Snake Basket. Return to Ali the Hag and she will say she needs a second Ingredient: Fresh Camel Dung.

  11. Go to the Kebab Seller, just a bit northeast of Ali the Hag. Buy some Hot Sauce from the Kebab Seller. Buy a Bucket from the General Store just north, if you don't have a Bucket already. Go to Ali the Camel Man again, and head into the west Yard with the two Camels, who are also named Ali. Use the Hot Sauce on the Feeding Trough and then use your Bucket on the Dung that appears on the Ground.

  12. Go back to Ali the Hag and she will give you the Poison. Head to the Bar again and use the Poison with the Beer on the Table west of Drunken Ali.

    Balancing the Forces

  13. Go back to Ali the Operator. He will tell you to talk to their Leader, who is also near the purple Tent. Equip your Armour and Weapon. Talk to him and he will reveal his plan about world domination. You get sick of hearing it and revolt against him. His Guard, a Level 75 Menaphite Tough Guy, will appear. Kill the Tough Guy, and he may drop a Willow-Blackjack (not 100% chance drop). If you do not get the Willow-Blackjack, you may kill other Menaphite Thugs for the drop. Then talk to a Villager. The Villager will mention that the forces of the Gangs have become unbalanced.

  14. Go to the north side of Town and talk to the Bandit Leader. He will thank you for removing the Menaphite Tough Guy, and you revolt against him too. Kill his Guard, a Level 70 Bandit Champion, and he will drop an Adamantite Scimitar. Head back and talk to a Villager again. He will say that if you want thanks, you should talk to the Mayor. Talk to Ali the Mayor who is standing west of his House. Then head back to Ali Morrisane and you will find out that his Nephew is himself and that it was just a way to lure Adventurers and Tourists into Pollnivneach. You'll also realize Ali Morrisane is really Runescape's self-proclaimed greatest Merchant as you find that you have purchased an Item from his Shop without actually doing so.

Author's Note: In case you still don't know what this Quest is about, it's a Tourist Attraction for Pollnivneach. The progress of the Quest is strange, which gives a hint of something not going right. Everybody's name is Ali. There is no Bank or Food source in Pollnivneach, so it's not a good location to thieve. Good Thieving Experience reward, though, for a Level 30 Thieving minimum requirement.
