Starting the Quest

Head to the small Outpost, located northwest of West Ardougne. You may use the Shortcuts pointed out in the Map below. Speak to Jorral.

--- Cutscene here ---

Jorral tells you to visit three People, all of whom hold Pieces of the Outpost's history. The three People are Erin the Silver Trader in Ardougne, Droalak the Ghost in Port Phasmatys and Dron the Warrior in Rellekka.

Erin the Silver Trader

Teleport back to Ardougne, or walk back to East Ardougne and talk to the Silver Merchant, Erin, north of the Market. Make sure you do not steal from Erin's Stall; otherwise, he won't talk to you.

Erin will give you a Key. The Key is a Compass to a Buried Chest.

Click on the Key to feel it. This will tell you how close you are to the Buried Chest. The Key should lead you to an area north of Castle Wars. Use your Ring of Dueling to reach Castle Wars, or simply walk there. Once you have arrived at the correct location, dig the Ground using your Spade.

By digging the Ground you should find a locked Chest. Use your Key to unlock the Chest and receive a Journal. Read through the Journal and then teleport back to Erin and talk to him about the Journal.

Droalak the Ghost

Head to Port Phasmatys, either by walking or by using your Ectophial. Enter the City and head to the General Store.

With your Ghostspeak Amulet equipped talk to Droalak.

He wants you to ask his wife, Melina, to forgive him. He will ask you for a Strung Sapphire Amulet. (There is a Furnace in Port Phasmatys where you can craft your Amulet).

Head into the Building west of the Furnace (see Map above). Talk to Melina and give her the Sapphire Amulet. After you give her the Sapphire Amulet, she will forgive Droalak and vanish.

Go back to Droalak. He will give you a Scroll regarding the history of the Outpost.

Dron the Warrior

Head to Rellekka; by using your Enchanted Lyre or teleporting to Camelot and walking from there.

Talk to Blanin, Dron's Brother. Blanin is located near the Field of Cows, on the east side of the Village.

Blanin will tell you a few things that you need to remember when talking to Dron because otherwise Dron will not talk to you; as he doesn't talk to anyone unless they know him well.

Note: The things that are written in italics are things Dron will ask you. It has been parsed for viewing ease.
  • You must be firm with him.
  • And don't mention that I sent you.
  • In case he asks, he wields an Iron Mace in battle,
  • Eats Rats for breakfast,
  • Kittens for lunch and
  • Bunnies for tea!
  • His favorite drink is Red Spider Blood,
  • He's 36 years,
  • 8 months and
  • 21 days old,
  • Studies famous Battles of the Fourth and Fifth ages,
  • Lives on the North-East side of Town
  • And his, erm... Pet cat is called Fluffy.
Talk to Dron, who is located north of the Helmet Store.

Dron will quiz you on the things he mentioned earlier, and then he will ask a math question. He will ask, "What's 5 + 7?". According to Dron, the answer is 13. He will then tell you some of the Outpost's history.

Back to Jorral

Teleport to Ardougne and head back to Jorral. He will tell you the whole history of Ardougne.

Jorral will then give you a Letter to give to King Lathas of Ardougne. Teleport back to Ardougne and head into the Castle.

Talk to King Lathas. He will reply with another Letter for Jorral.
