Death Plateau Quest Guide |

Start Point: Imperial Guard Training Camp in Burthorpe, north of the Hero's Guild. To Start: Speak to Denulth. Mission Length: Medium. Difficulty: Medium. Requirements: None. Members Only: Yes Items Needed: 1 Asgarnian Ale, 1 Blurberry Special (obtained in the Grand Tree), 10 Cooked Trout, 10 Loaves of Bread, a few Gold Pieces (about 100) and 1 Iron Bar. 1. Talk to Denulth in Burthorpe, north of the Hero's Guild. He explains the situation and asks you to help him by finding a secret way into the Plateau to attack the Trolls at night. ![]() 2. Go north to the Castle, to the top Floor and talk to Eohric. He tells you Harold was the Guard on duty, and that he can be found to the south in the Toad and Chicken Pub. Go there. ![]() 3. Once at the Pub, go Upstairs to the Room on the far left, knock on the Door and enter. Talk to Harold, but he won't say anything! ![]() 4. Go back to Eohric, talk to him and explain that Harold won't say anything, he tells you Harold softens up after a Drink. 5. Go back to Harold and give him an Asgarnian Ale, then gamble some Money with him. Talk to him again, and offer to buy him a Drink, this time he will tell you he fancies a Blurberry Special. Give it to him and he will say "Wow!" and will get stunned. 6. Gamble with him a few more times until he runs out of Money. He is so drunk he thinks you win every time. He says he has no Money left and writes you an IOU. This IOU is written on the back of the Combination! Examine it. 7. Go back to the Castle and pick up the five different Colored Balls, put them on the Mechanism according to the Puzzle. ![]() 8. Now you need to find a way to the Plateau. Head west and you will see a Cave. Go inside and talk to Saba. He will tell you about a Sherpa who lives close by who might be able to help you. To find the Sherpa you must walk up to the Death Plateau until you see a Wounded Soldier. As you see him make your way southwest and follow the small Path. ![]() ![]() ![]() 9. Knock on the Door, Tenzing the Sherpa will allow you to enter after you explain to him that you are not the Milkman. Once inside ask him about a Secret Path up to the Plateau, he will tell you that there is one. However he will not tell you any more unless you run an Errand for him. 10. He will ask you to bring him ten Cooked Trout, ten Bread and to fix his Climbing Boots at Dunstan's the Blacksmith in Town. Head over to the Blacksmith and speak with Dunstan he will not fix them because Tenzing has not yet paid for the last pair of Boots. Explain how important it is and he says that he will mend them on the condition that you get his 16 year old Son into the Imperial Guard. 11. Go and speak to Denulth and he will give you a Certificate that will allow Dunstan's Son to enter the Army. 12. Head back to Dunstan and give him the Certificate; he will fix the Boots if you bring him one Iron Bar. 13. Head back to Tenzing with the Boots and the Food that he asked for. He will give you a Map which shows the Secret Path, jump over the Stile in the Garden and walk down the Path. After some time of walking you will get a message saying that you have walked far enough and that you should report back to Denulth. ![]() 14. Go back and speak to Denulth. Make sure that you have the Combination and the Map on you. Give him both Items. Congratulations! Quest Complete!
Reward: 3,000 Attack Experience, 1 Quest Point, the ability to Smith Claws, a pair of Steel Claws, the ability to buy Climbing Boots from Tenzing for Twelve Gold Pieces and he will also make you a Member of the Imperial Forces.
