Items Needed: 4 Coal, Hammer, Pickaxe, Needle, Thread, Soft Leather, Stone Bowl (by searching Crates in the Workshop), Knife.

To Start: Search the Bookcases in the House slightly southwest of the Bank in Seer's Village. You will receive a Battered Book. Read the Book, and then use a Knife on it, you will then receive the Battered Key.

Cross the Path into the Workshop, in the northeast Corner of the Room and you will see an Odd-Looking Wall, behind which are some Stairs.

Use the Battered Key on the Odd-Looking Wall and then go down the Stairs. You will find yourself in a large Area.

Go to the north and into the Room with the Water-Wheel. Firstly turn the Valve to the east of the Wheel, and then the Valve to the west. Lastly, pull the Lever and the Water-Wheel will spin.

Make sure you have Soft Leather, a Needle and some Thread in your Inventory, then proceed to the east Room. Repair the Bellows and pull the Lever, the Air will blow through the Bellows.

The next thing you need to do is to locate "A Stone Bowl" This can be found by searching Crates in the central Room and the Entrances to the other four Areas. The Bowl has been found in random locations, but the Crates just into the Earth Elemental Area seem to be the most likely.

Note: Do not have any Elemental Ore in your Inventory while searching for the Bowl.

Then go into the southern Room (with the Fire Elementals) and use the Bowl on the Lava Trough. You will then get some Lava in your Bowl, use this with the Furnace.

Now, return to the west Room and mine some Elemental Ore. An Earth Elemental will attack you, kill him and you will receive the Ore. Ensure you have the four Coal in your Inventory then go back to the Southern Room and the Furnace.

You may get told the Furnace is too cold, in this case, go back to the Bellows (East Room) and pull the Lever. Then return to the Furnace.

Now use the Ore and four Coal with the Furnace to receive the Bar of Elemental Metal. Head into the central Room and use the Bar on one of the Workbenches. You will make an Elemental Shield.

Note: You can make multiple Shields. The Shield gives +6 to your Magic Defense.
