Requirements: Must be able to defeat a Level 111 Tanglefoot, a high Farming Level is an advantage but is not needed.

Need to have done the following Quests:
Items Needed: 1 Dramen Staff, 1 Spade, 1 Secateurs, 3 different items that are different for each Player (see below for details), and 1 Ghostspeak Amulet.

Items Recommended: 1 charged Amulet of Glory, 5 sets of Teleport Runes to any five Farmers/Gardeners who take care of any Farming Patch, Falador Teleport Runes, Ectophial, Armour, Food, Ring of Life, and Emergency Teleport Device.

Starting Point: Martin the Master Gardener at Draynor Market.
  1. Head into Draynor Village's Farming Market, northwest of the Bank and speak to Martin the Master Gardener. Ask if you can help with anything. He will tell you that the G.A.G.'s (Group of Advance Gardeners) Crops are failing and he wants you to figure out the problem. These other Farmers would be the ones who take care of any one of your Patches.

  2. Choose 5 different Farmers from different Patches, head to the Bank and take out Runes to Teleport to them. I chose the four Allotment Farmers and one of the Hops Gardeners. When you speak to them ask if they are a member of G.A.G. Then tell them that you are investigating for Martin the Master Farmer. You may have some difficulty talking to some of the Farmers. If they refuse to talk to you, just find another Farmer to talk to.

  3. The first Farmer will tell you that his or her problem is the lack of Rain. The second Farmer will tell you that there is a Plague of Insects. The third Farmer will tell you that the problem is Adventurers who keep digging out his or her Crops. The fourth will tell you that the Seasons seem to be "out-of-whack" these days. The last Farmer will ask you what the other Farmers have told you so far and that those theories are all correct. He or she will suggest that it is the doing of Faeries.

  4. Using your Amulet of Glory, teleport back to Draynor Village and speak to Martin again. Tell him about the theories that came up and he will suggest to investigate the Fairies in the Lost City (Zanaris). Head to the Bank and take out your Dramen Staff. If you don't have one head back to Entrana and climb down the northwestern Ladder to the Dramen Tree. Chop a Branch off the Tree and then cut it into a Dramen Staff.

  5. Wield your Dramen Staff and head southeast into the Lumbridge Swamp. Enter the small Building with Farming Equipment in it, east of the Water Altar Ruins. You must wield your Dramen Staff to teleport to Zanaris.

  6. Once you teleport into Zanaris, head straight south into the small area where Chaeldar the Slayer Master is. There you should see the Fairy Godfather. Speak to him, (Refer to the map above).

  7. Ask where the Fairy Queen is and he will tell you that she is very sick. He suggests that you should speak to a Fairy named Nuff. Head west to the Bank of Zanaris to find Fairy Nuff. You will start seeing weird things like your Character saying, "All the sudden I have an overwhelming urge to dance!," a Zanaris Choir, or your Character transforming into different Animals.

  8. Fairy Nuff is in the small little Cove north of the Bank. Speak to her and she will tell you about the Fairy Queen's sickness. She will then suggest that you speak to a Mage by the name of Zandar Horfyre. She will give you the list of the Fairy Queen's symptoms to give to him. Head to the Zanaris Bank and take out Falador Teleport Runes.

  9. Teleport to Falador and head to the Dark Wizards Tower, west of Falador. If you have a high enough Agility, use the Agility shortcuts to go there. If not, walk around to the Dark Wizards Tower. The Tower is just northwest of the Make-Over Mage.

  10. Climb up the Stairs to the highest Floor and speak to Zandar Horfyre. Speak to him and give him the list of symptoms. He will then tell you to see Malignus Mortifer in Port Sarim.

  11. Head to close to Port Sarim by walking. Just west of Port Sarim, north of the Rimmington Mines, by the Elemental Wizards, find Malignus Mortifer. Speak to him and ask if he could help you with your Quest. He then tells you to go to the Haunted Manor in Draynor Village and get him a Skull from the Graveyard there. Using your Amulet of Glory, teleport to Draynor Village or walk there. Bank and take out your Spade.

  12. Head north of Draynor Village to the Haunted Manor. Go north, behind the Manor to find the Grave.

  13. The Gravestone indicates where to dig. Dig south of it by clicking on your Spade. Once you dig out the Skull, head back to Malignus Mortifer.

  14. Speak to him and ask if he can help you with the Quest. He will ask for the Skull, give it to him. He will then tell you to make a pair of Enchanted Secateurs. You will need a pair of Secateurs and three other random items. Secateurs can be purchased from Farming Shops or dropped by Farmers.

The three random items could be any of the list below. Please note, it is possible to get an item which is not on this list.
    • Snape Grass
    • Jangerberry (Obtained by Ogre Island near Yanille, or self-grown.)
    • Potato Cactus (Found in Kalphite Cave in the Kharidian Desert.)
    • Red Spider Eggs
    • Blue Dragon Scale (Found in Blue Dragons Cave in Taverley Dungeon.)
    • Irit Leaf
    • Avantoe
    • Valencia Moss (Herb for Jungle Potion Quest found on a Rock southeast of Tai Bwo Wannai.)
    • Super Compost
    • Grapes
    • Edible Seaweed (Dropped by Dagganoths that range and Rock Crabs.)
    • Mort Myre Pear (Obtained by casting your Silver Sickle(b) on a Dead Bush in Mort Myre.)
    • Mort Myre Stem (Obtained by casting your Silver Sickle(b) on a Bead Branch in Mort Myre.)
    • Mort Myre Mushroom (Obtained by casting your Silver Sickle(b) on a Dead Log in Mort Myre.)
    • Fat Snail (Dropped by Bruised Snails in eastern parts of Mort Myre.)
    • Mosquito Proboscis (Obtained from the Woodcutting Mini-Game in Tai Bwo Wannai.)
    • Uncut Ruby
    • Uncut Diamond
    • Nature Talisman
    • Cave Eel (Bait fished in the Lumbridge Swamp Cave. Bullseye Lantern and Spiny Helm recommended when Fishing.)
    • Slimey Eel (Bait fished from Mort Myre Swamps and the Lumbridge Swamp Cave.)
    • Charcoal (Purchased from General Store in Shilo Village and Tai Bwo Wannai.)
    • Red Vine Worms (Search Red Vines in McGrubor Woods west of Seers' Village, enter through a Hole in Fence on northern side of the Wood.)
    • Crushed Gemstone (Resulted from failing to cut one of the lower class Gems properly.)
    • Jogre Bones
    • Open Oysters (Dropped by Rock Crabs.)
    • Baby Dragon Bones
    • White Berries (Self-grown, or found southwest of Illeyta.)

  15. Once you have obtained the three items you need, Bank and retrieve your Ghostspeak Amulet along with the three items required to enchant your Secateurs and a charged Amulet of Glory as well. If one of your three items happens to be Food, bring other higher forms of Food so that the Ghosts do not rot your Food.

  16. Teleport to Port Phasmatys by using your Ectophail or teleport to Varrock and head east to Canifis. From Canifis, head west to the Gates and then all the way south to the Nature Spirit. Jump the Bridge and head inside the Grotto Tree. Equip your Ghostspeak Amulet and speak to the Nature Spirit. Watch the short cutscene and the Nature Spirit will enchant your Secateurs.

  17. Head back into Zanaris, Lost City, and then Bank your Dramen Staff. Equip your Magic Secateurs, Armour and a Ring of Life, if you have one, and prepare for battle. Have your Emergency Teleport Device, and Food. Note that you must use your Magic Secateurs to attack, using any other Weapon will not damage the Tanglefoot. Also note that the higher your Farming Level is, the easier it is to kill it.

  18. Head south of the Wheat Farm to the Cosmic Altar Mysterious Ruins. From the Mysterious Ruins, head west and squeeze through the Gap in the Wall. The Gate Keeper will tell you that you have permission to pass through it.

  19. Make your way south and follow the Path until you reach a Room. There will be Level 45 Baby Tanglefoots walking around. If you kill the Baby Tanglefoots, they drop Leaves. The Leaves can be used to make normal Compost. Attack Tanglefoot, Level 111, with your Magic Secateurs. It does Melee damage so turn on your Protection from Melee Prayer. The higher your Farming Level is, the easier it is for you to kill the Tanglefoot. If you run out of Prayer, it is advisable to not waste Prayer Potions and rely on your Food instead. Once you kill the Tanglefoot, it will drop the Fairy Queen's Enchanted Secateurs.

  20. Take the Queen's Secateurs back to the Fairy Godfather, south of the Entrance of Zanaris. Speak to him to give him the Fairy Queen's Secateurs.
