Attack is one of RuneScape's most popular skills, and through training the skill your accuracy in melee-based combat will improve, which means you will hit higher more frequently. Equally as significant, as your Attack level grows, you will have a wider variety of items to train your Attack level with, whether it be the infamous bronze Dagger, or the lethal Abyssal Whip.Attack is trained through using the 'Accurate style' on a weapon, and for every hitpoint taken from an opponent in 'Accurate style' you will receive 4 Experience towards the Attack skill. Alternatively, it can be trained via the 'Controlled' style of attack, but that style only awards 1.33 Experience towards the Attack skill per hitpoint of damage dealt to your opponent.
