Strength can be considered one of the most important Melee Skills, especially in the Wilderness.

Strength determines how hard you can Hit your Opponent (Maximum Damage) with Melee Attacks.

There are several temporary ways to Boost your Strength. You can either Boost its Level with Potions/Specials, or Boost its Rating with Amulets and some other Equipment.

Items that temporarily Boost your Strength Level:

Member's Only Items Shown In Yellow

Also, Members with Strength of Level 50 or above are capable of wielding a "Granite Shield".

Training Strength:

Strength is the most often trained Skill in Melee Combat. There are currently two ways to Train Strength:
  1. Using "Controlled" Mode with a Melee Weapon (1.33 Experience per Damage inflicted)
  2. Using "Aggressive" Mode with a Melee Weapon (4 Experience per Damage inflicted)
In order to train Strength quickly and effectively you will need to be able to inflict a lot of Damage often. Which with the current ways to train requires a high strength Level. It is recommended to train Attack almost evenly with Strength. Defense is also important for Leveling Strength as it lets you Fight higher Level Opponents that can do some Damage to you.
