Content Training: Mini-Games: Thieving: Helpful Thieving Information: It has been said that it is easy to start with, but hard to grab a hold of. Once you have sticky fingers, it is hard to get rid of them. Thieving is the answer to inequality in richness some People dare to say. What I know however, is that it can make you quite rich! Try it out and see for yourself, you may be surprised! Training Donning your Thieving Skill (Thieving Levels 1-5) Your training begins in any place that is nice and quiet, and has Men or Women in it. Your first goal is to get your Level one Thieving to a nice Level five. To do this, you must first Pick-Pocket the Man or Woman. You will either:
Goodies Galore (Thieving Levels 5-40) Now that you have reached Level five Thieving, you should have received a message stating you can now steal Baked Goods from a Baker's Stall in Ardougne. Depending on where you have been Pick-Pocketing, walk, take a Boat, teleport or use some other transportation method to get to Ardougne. Welcome to Ardougne, Thieving Central, where everyone likes to get free stuff just by stealing it! You will see many Stalls, Non-Player Characters (NPCs) and loads of goodies just waiting to be stolen. ![]() There are two different Baker's Stalls to choose from. To steal from a Stall, position yourself away from the Stall Keeper (just go to the other side) and click on the Stall when there are Items in it. When you attempt to steal from the Stall there are two possible outcomes:
You can also steal from H.A.M. Members and get some Items, but most of this stuff is junk. These People are a pain to train on. The only reason that I can see to thieve from them is that you can steal Level 1 clues from them. After you get the hang of stealing Silk, your next goal is to get your Thieving Skill to Level 25 so that you can begin stealing from Warriors. However, I would recommend you thieve Silk until 30 to make it easier Pick-Pocketing Warriors. Remember when you Pick-Pocketed Men and Farmers? Hope that you do, since now you’re going after slightly bigger game. Get your wits together and begin Pick-Pocketing the Warriors of Ardougne. An alternative to Warriors is to steal from Seed Stalls. Thieving from Seed Stalls requires Level 27 Thieving. Continue Pick Pocketing Warriors or stealing from Seed Stalls until you reach Level 35 Thieving which is the Level you need to thieve from the Fur Stall A Thieving Level of 38 allows you to begin Pick-Pocketing Master Farmers. These Farmers are supposed to be one of the best Non-Player Characters in the game to steal from, but many People find them to be a pain since they catch you more often than Guards do, and they hit you for more damage. Another annoying thing is the amount of Seeds you get from these little buggers. One of the biggest advantages to them however, is that you can just left click on them to Pick-Pocket them, making it easier to nab their valuables. A Thieving Level of 40 allows you to begin Pick Pocketing a new Non-Player Character, Guards. A Thief is Made (Thieving Levels 40-70) Alright, you are starting to make Money now, and you are really getting some nice Thieving Experience as well! Now it is time to put your Skills to the test and proceed to the next Level. You should also begin to notice that you’re losing Hit Points more than you did before. If you’re getting low on Hit Points, a quick trip to the Baker's Stall will be helpful. Personally, I’m still stealing from this Stall to get Food to continue Thieving. At Level 45, a great place to train is the Fremennik’s. This may seem tedious, as it's so far away from the Bank, but you're basically self-sufficient in Rellekka. There is the Fish Stall which you can steal from at Level 43, so that's not much of an issue for Food. Once you steal a full load of Fish (leaving one space open for the loot from Fremennik’s), head on over to a House with a Fremennik you are able to Pick-Pocket from. I personally got a great amount of Experience from the Fremennik just to the east of the Rellekka Entrance, in the House with the Garden full of Cabbages and Onions. These guys, surprisingly, may be the best People to Pick-Pocket, as they don't catch you very often, even if you are Level 45, and they only do two damage to you each time you get caught. You also get about 60 Experience each time you successfully Pick-Pocket them. If you do not feel like going to Rellekka for some reason, you can simply steal from the Fur Stall. All you have to do is lock the Fur Trader in the House behind the Fur Stall, as he goes in there sometimes. Then you can stand where he roamed normally and steal from his Stall without disruption! We are now getting higher and more Experienced! Continue to Level 55! At Thieving Level 55, you will get a nice message saying you can now Pick-Pocket Knights of Ardougne! (No, not White Knights, they cannot be Pick-Pocketed). These Gentlemen will give you some nice Money, but there is a drawback, it’s really easy to be caught by these guys when you first start them out. I am going to completely forget about them in this guide since I did not raise my Thieving by stealing from them. When you reach Level 65, give yourself a pat on the back since this next part will be the last easy part you will ever see. You can now do two different things.
This last easy stage of Thieving will all revolve around your Agility Level. If you can get into the Watchtower, you can Pick-Pocket the Watchmen from Level 65 to Level 70. If you do not have the required Level 30 Agility, either raise your Agility to get in, or Pick-Pocket Guards or Knights till Level 70. Once you have reached Thieving Level 70, your life will be so much fun, since you need another 1.2 million Experience to get 80. Have fun! Your Biggest Heist Yet (Thieving Levels 70 – 80) Once you reach Level 70 Thieving, begin what will be your staple source of Thieving Experience for a while; Pick-Pocketing Paladins. Paladins are much harder to Pick-Pocket. They are not your average Guards, and they hit you for three damage if you get caught, which causes you to run low on Food quickly. I’d recommend bringing lots of Food and running down to the Paladin Building, which is on the west side of East Ardougne. There are plenty of Paladins ready to be plundered for their valuable loot here. Paladins will definitely test your Skills challenging you to attain Level 80. When you reach Level 75 Thieving, you will most probably be tired, but you can now steal Gems from the Gem Stall! This is the highest Level Stall you can thieve from in RuneScape, so give yourself another pat on the back, as this is quite an achievement. Do not train on the Gem Stall, it is useless, since you only get one Experience and the respawn takes forever. Keep training on Paladins until you reach Level 80. Achieving Level 80 Thieving is a rare accomplishment indeed! You are now a Criminal Mastermind. You have completed all that you can on the in-game Thieving Tables and you can steal from anything and anyone (besides Elves that is). The Criminal Mastermind (Thieving Levels 80 and beyond) Wow, who would have thought you would get to this high a Level? There are not many 80+ Thieves so you should be very proud of yourself. Why? Because you can now Pick-Pocket Heroes, that's why! Heroes are in fact, the hardest character to Pick-Pocket. I have trouble stealing from these little blighters; they are so alert all the time. Your goal can now be to get your Thieving up to whatever you want, or just stop training it altogether and making use of Thieving when you need it. If you get to Level 82 Thieving, you can then enter the Agility Dungeon via the Stairs in Yanille whenever you wish. This leads you past the Monkey Bars however, you do need a Picklock! To gain Experience now, I would normally recommend going for Paladins and/or Heroes as they give you the most Experience. Mini-Games Pyramid Plunder This Mini-Game is said to be the fastest way to train Thieving. It is recommended to those who have over level 71 Thieving. For more information, please visit our Pyramid Plunder guide. Sorceress' Garden Another Mini-Game related to Thieving is the Sorceress' Garden. The idea is to help Osman by gathering Sq'irks for him from the Sorceress' Garden without being caught. For more information, please visit our Sorceress' Garden guide. Thieving Non-Player Characters
Note: When Pick-Pocketing Female H.A.M. members and Male H.A.M. members, if you get stunned enough times you will be knocked out and thrown out of the H.A.M. Hideout. You can appear in a number of places: by the Jail, right outside the H.A.M. Hideout, in the Prison Cell inside the H.A.M. Hideout or in between the H.A.M. Hideout and Lumbridge. Stalls

Helpful Thieving Information Non-Player Character Locations
The Dragon Spear Got a Dragon Spear laying around in your Bank? Well guess what, this Weapon can be used for a great Thieving advantage. You see, the Special Attack of a Dragon Spear stuns anyone for around seven seconds (including Non-Player Characters). So stunning a Non-Player Character makes them unable to see if you are Pick-Pocketing from them or not, which means that you will not get caught yourself. This little trick is great for Pick-Pocketing those high Level Non-Player that you can't seem to thieve from easily. Thieving Vocabulary
