Clearing/Saving your Bank Space: As you look through your Bank, you'll see that you have Items that you don’t really need or use. This is what we’ll call junk. A huge percentage of Players save junk items in their Banks instead of having useful Items. Depending on how much junk you have it can take many seconds, minutes, or even an hour to clean and organize your Bank. To start off this process, it’s best to start from the top. These Items tend to be the least used "Junk" Items. I would like to clean my Bank, but it is full and messy. How will I be able to take all of these unwanted Items out? This is easy; all you have to do is withdraw the Item(s) in Notes. These Options can be found on the bottom of your Bank Screen. What if I have junk that I would like to get rid of but at the same time can get Gold Pieces for it? This can be solved two ways; 1) You can either use Low or High Alchemy on your Items for Money, 2) Locate a General Store and sell your Items there (Varrock, Edgeville, Falador, Catherby and many other places have General Stores near as well. Most junk is likely to be Items you have used in Quests and no longer need. Quest Items are not tradable and are not able to be sold in Stores either, (Note: You can use the Alchemy Spell on most of these, you may find that you have more Quest Items than other normal junk). If you have any Free-to-Play Quest Items that you would like to get rid of, a Non-Player-Character just next to the Draynor Bank on the east side, if I'm Correct, Buy's Free-to-Play Quest Items. It may not be for much Money but definitely better than nothing. If all else fails any Items still remaining can be dropped. Bank Organization: The best way to keep your Bank organized is by having your Items organized by categories. For example, put all of your Magic stuff together, not spread around the Bank. Do this with each category as you decide. This will keep your Bank organized making it easier to spot Items. Example: I have found it useful to also put my favorite Bow just before all the Arrows and find it handy to keep my Knives, Feathers and anything else to do Archery all neatly together. Items to keep and Items to get rid of: Non-Members and Members: Armour and Weapons: It is best to keep only one set of your best Armour and your best Weapon. If you do Free-To-Play Player Killing, then it’s best to keep a set of Rune Armour and a Weapon for this. TIP: I know of many high level Players who keep two sets of their favorite Armor and Weapon so that when they remove a set to wear they simply remove it and, wallah, it automatically goes right back to where it belongs. Range Gear: There are Players that have different sets of Ranging gear, for an example, a friend of mine keeps, Green, Blue, Red, and Black. Reason? Don’t really know. It is usually best to keep a set (or two) of your best Ranging gear if you’re a Member, a set for Player Killing, and if you’re Free-to-Play, then you really don’t have a choice. Members don’t really like to have only one type of Arrows. It depends on the Monster you are training on or Player Killing, only keep the Arrows you really need. Bows, The best Free-to-Play Range Bow is Maple and for Members would be the Magic or Crystal Bow. Food: Only keep the Food with the highest and medium healing qualities. I keep Sharks to train on high Level Monsters, Lobsters and Swordfish for medium to hard Monsters or Player Killing. If you don’t like using your Lobsters just for training on a simple Monster, then I’d suggest getting some Cakes. Clothing: This is an issue most Players have in their Banks. A lot of Players keep sets of Clothing they don’t or barely use. It is best to just change your style/looks in the Varrock Clothes Shop keeping only maybe Team Capes. Talismans and Tiaras: Often Players keep unused Talismans and Tiaras. If you don’t Runecraft and have Talismans then the best thing to do is either sell or drop them. Now, if you do Runecrafting, only keep the Talismans and Tiaras you need. Members should make your Talismans into Tiaras. If you do your Runecrafting through the Abyss you do not need any Talisman or Tiaras. Runes: Which ones do I keep? Players who don’t use Magic can sell or just not collect them. Being a Mage I find it convenient to keep them all. As I go about my business if I find Players looking for Runes; easy Money can be made off them. Just keep them all grouped together in your Bank so they are easy to find. Fishing Equipment: If you Fish regularly then it is best to keep your Equipment. If you don’t really Fish often, then you should just get rid of the Fishing Items as they can easily be purchased for a very reasonable price. Jewelry and Moulds: If you have any unenchanted Jewelry that you don’t need, enchant and sell or Alch them. If you have Jewelry that has limited uses (Glory Amulet, Ring of Dueling, Etc..), keep only the Jewelry you need the most likely for Teleporting to a specific location. If you have any Moulds that are just sitting in your Bank collecting dust get rid of them, or at least get rid of the one's you don’t really use. Logs: If you have Logs just stacking up in your Bank, either sell them, light them for Firemaking Experience or fletch them into Bows. Capes: If you like to wear Capes for Player Killing or for Clothing looks, just keep a Cape for each. Remember wearing a Cape adds a small amount to Magic and Defense bonus. Uncut/Cut Gems: You can cut your uncut Gems, and then Craft them into Jewelry Items or just sell them if you don’t intend to use them. Cut Gems normally have a lower value so craft them if you can or hold the different types together until you can. Bones: Uhh, Why would you keep Bones in your Bank anyways? If you’re going to sell them, then that’s okay, but otherwise, just bury them. Fletching Bows, Flax, and Bow Strings: If you have unstrung Bows the best thing to do is to String and sell or Alch them. If you have Flax and Unstrung Bows in your Bank spin the Flax into Bow Strings (Spin in Seers’ Village, the Bank is closer to Spinning Wheel), attach them to the Unstrung Bows, to sell. Ores and Bars: It is best to Smelt your Ore into Bars, then Smith them to Items, and possibly use, sell or Alch them. Untradable Holiday Goods: These Items are really not worth the space in your Bank. Why keep an un-tradable Item that you can get back if you ever need it again? Quest Items: Following is a list of Quest Items that can be reacquired should you need them again:
Cannon: If you have a Cannon that you don’t use at all or barely, sell it to someone else who maybe needs it more than you. Castle Wars Prizes: If you have Castle Wars Items, go back to the Castle War’s location and talk to the Non-Player Character, then trade your Items in for Tickets. Seeds and Tools: If you have a large variety of Seeds, then just keep the ones you can plant, and also keep the Seeds that you’ll be able to use within 5-10 levels. Tools should of course be stored with the Leprechaun that is near each patch. Herbs, Ingredients and Potions: If you have any Unidentified Herbs, ID them. If there’s any you can’t identify, find someone you can trust to identify them or just collect them until you have a high enough Level to. If you have some Herbs and Ingredients, make the Potions as this will save you space. Potions, The best way to save space is by making all your Potions the same dose (4). Meaning if you have two Attack Potions, one with a dose of (3), and another with a dose of (1), then just Click on "use" on the (1) dosed Potion, and just simply add it in with the (3) dose Potion and now you'll have a (4) dose Potion. By doing this, you'll save allot of space in your Bank and also in your Inventory. Bank Sales and More: If you have Items that you would like to get rid of but not sell them in General Stores for less Money, then you have the Option of either having a Bank Sale in a Bank of a busy world, or just simply High Alching them. If you have any unused Keys, a Key Ring is the best thing to get. This will hold most of your Keys, instead of each Key having their own space the Key Ring will hold them in one space. This can be obtained from completing the One Small Favor Quest. |
