| Dagganoth Kings Guide |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
By: Alpr and 82warrior Edited by: Hero of Time, Tweedy, Magic_falcon, BlitzAceSamy and Sherbros Coded by: Hero of Time and Lord Thief Special Thanks To: Red Sox, Ste1111, Insanepixel, Damen, and Supremehitta Introduction: This Guide is meant to show you how to effectively kill the Dagganoth Kings. The Guide will show you how to reach the Dagganoth Kings, and provide you with effective ways to kill them using each fighting class, along with an emergency Exit in case you forgot your Teleport Runes or other method of Teleportation. Helpful Hints Only wear expensive gear (such as Barrows Armour, Obsidian Shields, Abyssal Whips, Karil’s CrossBow and Fire Cape) if you know what you are doing. Melee fighters shouldn’t have too much of a problem unless you use the Guthan combination. It is recommended that you have a minimum of two People to slay Dagannoth Kings. While there is no maximum number of People who should slay Dagannoth Kings at once, People rarely go in bigger groups than three, which means there will be one Person per Dagannoth King. Getting to the Dagganoth Kings Once you reach Rellekka journey northwest and you will come to Jarvald who will take you to Waterbirth Island. Once you’re at Waterbirth Island follow the Road due west to reach the Entrance of the Cave, from there follow the Map: ![]() When you are in the Arena, there are Spinolyps all around that shoot at you with random Range and Magic attacks. The Ranged attacks will poison you, no matter if it hits you for any damage or not. It is up to you to choose which Prayer to use (if you are fighting as Melee or Ranged you should have Protect from Magic on unless King Prime is dead). ![]() Dagganoth King Rex ![]() ![]() Note: You can substitute the Amulet of Glory for an Amulet of Fury, Super Defence Potions for Super Anti-Poison, Verac’s Top/Bottom for Ahrim’s Top/Bottom or Mystic Armour Top/Bottom and/or Saradomin Staff for Ancient Magicks if you choose to. However, bear in mind that using Ancient Magicks means that you cannot teleport to Camelot. You'll need a Mage with Level 90 Magic to teleport you to Camelot. Description The Mage is ONLY suitable for the Dagganoth King REX. He has very low Magic Defence, decent Melee and high Range Defence. King REX has such low Magic Defence that you can wear anything and rarely miss! Wearing Verac Armor is best because it also adds Prayer Bonus. Otherwise use Guthan. Using Verac will give you superb Range Defence, and small Magic Defence. You will miss against King REX maybe one out of ten times, but otherwise it's very good to use. Wearing Ahrims or Mystic Armour will get you shredded by the surrounding Enemies. Whichever Prayer you use depends on what's attacking you. NEVER use Melee Protect. Rex is the only one who can do that, and you usually have a Mage that can freeze him. Rex isn't that much of a threat as long as you have an Ancient Spell to freeze him. Mages can stay a lot longer than Meleers and Rangers if you use a safe spot (so others don't attack you). ![]() Hit Points: 332 Max Hit: 30 Weak Against: Magic attacks Guaranteed Drops: Dagganoth Bones , Dagganoth Hide ![]() Dagganoth King Supreme ![]() ![]() Note: You can substitute the Amulet of Glory for an Amulet of Fury, Super Defence Potions for Super Anti-Poison, you can remove two Sharks and add a Guthan Helmet or Spear and you can wear any Cape. Description Meleers are most suitable for killing King Supreme. King Supreme has very low Melee Defence, decent Range Defence, and high Magic Defence. Use Magic Protect when the King Prime is attacking you, and use Helm/Spear to heal on King Supreme (if you get hit and are low Hitpoint, go ahead and eat a Shark or 2). If King Prime is dead, then you can use Range Prayer at will. You can help others by attacking Prime and Rex, and use appropriate Prayer, but you won't do much damage to others. King Supreme's attack consists of bigger spins, than Level 90 Dagganoths attack you with. The one add-on is that they fail to hit like the Kalphite Queens Spines. It's best to spread out for minimal damage. If King Prime is dead, use Ranged Protect. If Prime is attacking you, use Magic (if you have a few Rangers near his respawn Prime shouldn't attack you). ![]() Hit Points: 255 Max Hit: 30 Weak Against: Melee Guaranteed Drops: Dagganoth Bones , Dagganoth Hide ![]() Dagganoth King Prime ![]() ![]() Note: You can substitute the Amulet of Glory for an Amulet of Fury, Super Defence Potions for Super Anti-Poison, you can substitute Karil’s Crossbow for a Magic Shortbow (Crystal Bow is not recommended) and you can wear any Cape. Description Rangers are best suited for killing King Prime. Prime has very low Range Defence, decent Melee Defence, and high Magic Defence. Use Protect from Magic against him at all costs, and use Protect from Ranged when he is dead. Tend to stay at the opposite side of the Entrance to avoid being hit when he first spawns. Once Prime is dead, feel free to help out your other team, but you really would just be wasting Ammo. Prime shoots a Super Water Wave at you and can only hit one Person at a time. If you are on HIGH detail, you need to switch to LOW detail. There is a glitch where if he attacks you on high detail, he'll lag you right before the blast hits you. ![]() Hit Points: 255 Max Hit: 50 Weak Against: Ranged Guaranteed Drops: Dagganoth Bones , Dagganoth Hide![]() Note: This method of Exiting the Caves is never used, but it is there in case you somehow forget your Teleportation Runes or other methods of Teleportation and need a quick Exit. The entire Exit Path has nothing but Rock Lobsters, and they are Melee Fighters. The Exit Path is located behind the last Ladder used to get to the Dagganoth Kings; just head to the back and start up the Ladders. (Displayed on the Map as white numbers.) After you go up that Ladder, you'll wash ashore at the Dagganoth Lair beneath the Lighthouse.
