The first step to owning a Pet Fish is to make a Fishbowl.

Making your own Fishbowl

Items Needed: 2 Seaweed, 1 Bucket of Sand and 1 Glassblowing Pipe.

Seaweed can be found on Entrana Island and in Shilo Village. It is also dropped by Rock Crabs, and alternatively you can fish for your own using a Big Net.

To obtain a Bucket of Sand, get a Bucket, which can be bought from any General Store, then use it with a Sand Pit which are located in Entrana, Yanille and the Lost City.

Glass Blowing Pipes can be found on Entrana in the House near the Herblore Shop. There is also a respawn in the Building east of the Fishing Guild, in Hemenster.

Use your Seaweed on a Range or Fire to get some Soda Ash.
Use the Bucket of Sand with a Furnace while having Soda Ash in your Inventory to obtain Molten Glass.
Use the Glassblowing Pipe on the Molten Glass, select Bowl and you'll have a Fishbowl. Note that these Bowls are untradeable.

After getting your Fishbowl, it is now time to get your Fish

Getting your Fish

Use your Fishbowl with a Water source to fill it.
Then use Seaweed with your Fishbowl to decorate it.
Talk to Harry in the Catherby Fishing Shop.

Harry will sell you a Tiny Net for 10 Gold Pieces to catch Fish for your Fishbowl, but you MUST have your Fishbowl in your Inventory.

Now that you have your Tiny Net, you can fish in the little Aquariums to catch your own Fish.

Feeding your Fish

Talk to Harry and ask "Do you have any Fish Food", and he will reply that he is all out, but he will give you an empty Fish Food Box. You will have to make your own Fish Food.
Examine the Box, it reads, "Ingredients: Ground Guam and Ground Seaweed"

Alternatively, you can obtain Fish Food from the respawn on the Second Floor of Draynor Manor.

Making Fish Food

Get 1 Guam Leaf and 1 Seaweed, then grind them both with a Pestle and Mortar.
Use the Ground Guam Leaf and Ground Seaweed with the empty Fish Food Box to fill it up.

Now you have your Fish Food to feed your Fish.

Things you can do with your Fish

When you Right Click on your Fishbowl you will see these Options:

Talk - At Fishbowl:

Play - With Fishbowl:

You can have different types of Fish!

Blue:

Green:

When you want to get rid of your Fish, you will have to drop it. Unfortunately, it breaks the Fishbowl as well.
