| Mage Training Arena | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
By: Rabadzija, Svstoned Edited By: Svstoned, Tweedy, and King Zonk Coded By: Tweedy Special Thanks To: Muscular Ape, Svstoned, Lord Thief, Yippeekyaa, Tom and Glodenox NOTE: This is a completely different location than the Mage Arena in Level 52 Wilderness. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
![]() The Mage Training Arena can be found just a little to the north of the Dueling Arena. When you enter you will see the Entrance Guardian. He will tell you that the Training Arena was built during the Fifth Age of Runescape. The Fifth Age was the time when Runestones were discovered by the Wizards from the Wizard’s Tower. The Entrance Guardian will then go on to tell you that you can earn Pizazz Points when you train your Magic Skill by stepping through one of the Portals which can be found at the back of the Entrance Hall. These Pizazz Points are unique to each Room. By claiming these Pizazz Points you are able to purchase various upgrades from other Guardian on other Floors. The Entrance Guardian records your current Pizazz Points through your Pizazz progress Hat. You can talk to the Entrance Guardian and he'll tell you how many Pizazz Points you have. However, there is a limit to the number of Points that you can have. There are four Arenas that you can train the Magic Skill in: The Alchemist’s Playground The Telekinetic Theatre The Enchanting Chamber The Creature Graveyard The Portals can be found in the north part of the ground Floor. To the west is the Enchanter's Teleport (brown square), to the north is the Alchemist's Teleport (green square), to the east is the Graveyard Teleport (black square) and to the south is the Telekinetic Teleport (blue square). For this particular Arena you only need a Fire Staff (or Fire Runes) and Nature Runes. First of all you should talk to the Guardian to learn a bit more about the Rules. Go to the Cupboards and take around ten of each Item which is in the Cupboard (of course not all Items will fit in your Inventory). Wait until you can cast Alchemy on a 15 Coin one, 30 Coin one or a free one (a green arrow will display it). Do not cast Alchemy on any lower Coin as this will just waste your time and Runes. If you don't have a 15 or 30 Coin one, just wait until they changes again. Start off with casting Alchemy on the 30 Coin ones because the 15 Coin ones might turn into 30 Coin ones in between. If there are any Coins with a green arrow to the left of it cast Alchemy on it, it won't cost you any Runes but will give you free Magic Experience. Cupboards randomly change Items when the Item value changes. Cupboards can get empty when you take Items out of it, or they can become empty after an Item value change. Keep your eyes on the Guardian as he will shout when the value of an Item is about to change. He will also tell you which Items can have Alchemy cast on them without the cost of Runes. The numbers next to Items in the top right-hand side indicate how much the Items you have are worth when you cast High Alchemy on them. Deposit the Money you get in the Coin Collector. You will get 10% of the Coins back as a Reward when you leave. You also get an additional two Magic Experience per Coin you bring in. Also, you can not trade Items in the Alchemist's Playground. ![]() The only thing you need to have in your Inventory is an Air Staff (or Air Runes) and Law Runes. First speak to the Guardian to learn a bit more about the Rules. By clicking on the Statue you get to see a different view when entering the Theatre. By clicking on the Statue again, you’re back in the original view. The number of solved Puzzles will however be reset to zero. You will need about eight Law Runes per Puzzle so you will need 40 Law Runes for 1,720 Magic Experience and 10 Telekinetic Points, plus 1M000 bonus Magic Experience and eight bonus Pizzazz Points. Completing a whole run gives 2,720 Magic Experience and 18 Telekinetic Points. 18 runs should get you around 300 Telekinetic Points (enough for the Master Wand). 18 runs will require about 720 Laws. The only thing you need to have in your Inventory is an Earth or Water Staff (or Earth or Water Runes) and Cosmic Runes. First speak to the Guardian to learn a bit more about the Rules. In the Enchanting Chamber you need to take Objects from four different Piles. The Piles are yellow, blue, green and red. Then you need to enchant the Objects (any enchant Jeweler Spell works, it doesn't matter if you cast enchant Jeweler Level 1 or Level 5). In the bottom right corner you will see a Picture of a shape and the word "Bonus" above it. This means that when you enchant that kind of Object you get a bonus Pizazz Point. There will also be random respawns of special Dragonstones, these are not used to craft but they do give a nice Pizazz Bones when you enchant them. When you enchant Objects, they will become Orbs and you will need to deposit them in the Hole at the centre of the Room. The only thing you need to have in your Inventory is an Earth or Water Staff (or Earth or Water Runes) and Nature Runes. First speak to the Guardian to learn a bit more about the Rules. In this area you will find Piles of various Bones. You have to pick these Bones up and then cast the Spell Bones to Bananas or Bones to Peaches on the Bones. You should then deposit the new Fruit into the Food Chute. For that you will get Pizazz Points. But watch out as Bones keep falling on you and you will often be hit for 2 Hitpoints. This may seem to be very little, but these the Bones fall quite often, so you'll be low on health very soon if you don't eat some of these Bananas. However Peaches heal 8 Hitpoints, using the Bones to Peaches Spell in between the Bones to Bananas Spell is a good way to stay alive.
Different types of Bones give different amounts of Fruit, as can be seen in the table. hop Upstairs at the Shop is where you trade your hard earned Points with the Shopkeeper. This Shop also contains a new feature, the ‘upgrade’ feature. This feature is only used on the Wands, meaning you need to buy all the wands in order to get the Master Wand. He sells the following Items and for the following price:
