There are variations on how People have made their Money throughout their time on Runescape,
each one with its own benefits and drawbacks.

Methods
I'm here to try and come up with a comprehensive list of ways to make Money. Please remember this isn't a quick read-and-follow Guide, as your path may differ if you want to do something else.

  1. Mining

One of the first things you're taught is how to Mine.
Yes, simply digging up Rocks can earn you Money!

There are several ways to make Money here, as with all stats, the higher you are, the more Money you can earn from individual Ores.

The usual place to obtain Gold Ore is from Crafting Guild again, although there are the odd Rocks dotted around the Runescape Map

  2. Smithing

In conjunction with Mining, is ... Smithing!

The two variations in how People make Money are to smelt the Ore into Bars and then sell the Bars or smith the Bars into Items for sale.

    • To Smelt Iron Bars, all you need is Level 15 Smithing. However, there is a 50% chance that it fails, meaning that the Ore you have smelted is too impure, so you are left with nothing. To improve your chances, if you’re a Member, use Ruby Rings of Forging, which have 140 uses per Ring, meaning you can use them to smelt 140 Ore before they shatter and disappear. Rings of Forging sell for 500 to 2,000 Gold Pieces each

    • The next stage up is to smelt Steel Bars, this requires Level 30 Smithing and requires one Iron Ore and two Coal Ore. These sell for 500 to 600 Gold Pieces each. Selling Steel Bars is very ludicrous so I recommend doing it until you have saved few hundred thousand in the Bank

    • Mithril Bars, require one Mithril Ore, four Coal Ore and also Level 50 Smithing to smelt. These are quite useful and handy, as they can sell for 1,000 to 1,500 each!

    • Adamantite Bars require one Adamantite Ore, 6 Coal Ore, and Level 70 to smelt them. These may seem expensive, but sell very well to high Level Smithers and Fletchers who want them to make their Adamantite Armour or Arrows, the Bars themselves can be sold for approximately 2,000 each

    • Lastly... Runite Bars, require one Runite Ore, eight Coal Ore and a nice Level 85 Smithing, By the time you can smelt Runite you’re practically rolling in the Money. However, you can also sell these for around 14,000 to 20,000 each, which is great, you deserve all the Money after reaching 85 Smithing

The other ways to make Money from Smithing is to either sell the things you make, or High Alchemy them. When first starting out, there isn’t much of a demand for the Bronze, Iron or even Steel things you make, but it is until Level 48 when you can start thinking about profit! This is because you can make Steel Plates which sell in the Shops or preferably, to People for at least 1,000 each or '‘High Alch’' them yourself for 1,200 Gold Pieces each. People tend to buy these in bulk for 1,000 each because they like to High Alch themselves, although there is an added cost of one Nature Rune for each High Alch Spell. Using Low Alchemy and High Alchemy will give different amounts of Money, and thus Low Alchemy is not recommended.

There are few People who will buy Steel Items apart from Steel Plates.

By Level 68, you can make full Mithril, quite handy for new Players. These can be sold for around 8,000 to 10,000 a set, which includes Large Helm, Plate Body, Plate Legs, and maybe Kite Shield.

If you reach the dizzy heights of 88 Smithing, you’re doing quite well for yourself and shouldn’t even bother reading further! Heh… Well, there are many People wanting Adamantite Items, especially Scimitars, Kite Shields and also Sets.

However, with more Smithers around, the prices are lowering. Scimitars are around 5,000 each, with Kite Shields 8,000 to 12,000, the sets are approximately 16,000 to 20,000 each.

With reaching Runite Smithing, there is no question, by the time you reach this you will already know the prices, so there is no point in commenting, but I would like to add Well Done and Good Job!

  3. Fishing

Quite hard to make Money at first, but from Level 1 to 40, it is quite easy.

Just start using net to fish Shrimp until you can use Fishing Rods and Bait at Level 10, then move onto Fly Fishing Rod and Feathers at Level 20.

The lower Fish don’t sell for much, so no mention about prices, if you wish, you can try to sell to lower Level People, or just to the Fish Shops in Port Sarim or Catherby.

Tuna at Level 35 is a good training Food. I don’t know why People drop it, but it is quite good to train with.

However, by Level 40, you can fish with the similarity of Coal in Mining… Lobsters!
These sell easily for 140 Gold Pieces each, and above depending on the amount you have to around 200 Gold Pieces each, (Note: Many People have thousands). There are several People that buy both Raw and Cooked Lobsters, so which one you want to sell is up to you. Many People want Raw to raise their own Cooking, but some want them cooked so they can use them for training Combat Stats.
These are acquired from all over the Maps, such as on Karamja, Catherby, and more often the Fishing Guild, where most types of Fish are found.

Sea Bass, for those of you who are Members, aren’t sold often, and also sell at the price of Lobsters, both Raw and Cooked.

Fished using the Big Net and usually acquired with a variety of other things, such as Mackerel, Cod, Seaweed and the occasional Casket. The usual place to fish these is Catherby.

Swordfish requires Level 50 Fishing and the use of a Harpoon, however, when fishing for these, you might also tend to get Tuna as well, if you only want Swordfish, just drop the Tuna, and keep fishing! These can sell for around 200 to 250 Gold Pieces each, both cooked and uncooked.

Fished in conjunction with Tuna using a Harpoon, best places for them are Karamja if you are not a Member, with the better spots being on Members parts of the World, such as in the Fishing Guild or Catherby again.

Last but not least, Sharks require Level 76 Fishing. Many People buy these raw, some People buy these cooked as well though, mainly high Level Players that train in the Wilderness or for Player Killing there. These usually sell for around 700 to 1000 Gold Pieces, depending on the amount a Person will agree to.

Usual two places to fish are Catherby and Fishing Guild. As you can tell, Catherby is a very popular spot to fish at due to the wide variety of Fish caught there.

For Profitability from fishing, I would say fishing and selling either cooked or raw Lobsters, is the easiest to fish, has the most available places to fish and also quickest to catch a good load.

  4. Fletching

    • From Level 1 to 15, you have to stick to regular Trees, which give normal Logs, these can actually sell for 50 to 100 Gold Pieces each if you have a couple thousand in the Bank; very few will buy only a couple hundred.
The usual places to cut regular Logs without Fletching are Draynor, south of Lumbridge, and spots of Trees dotted around Port Sarim.

    • From Level 15 to 30, Oak Trees are alright I suppose, they don’t really sell for much, so keep them yourself for either Firemaking or for you to start out Fletching.

    • Willow from Level 30 to whatever Level you want is very good, easy to chop, many Banks nearby wherever you cut, fast respawns, can sell for around 35 to 50 Gold Pieces each, but this is because Free Players can cut it now too, which is why the price has gone down so much. However, with the recent update, prices of all Logs have risen as it is much quicker to Fletch now.
Best place for these is Draynor, with a Bank close by. Port Sarim or Seers’ Village are good if you just want to make Fires.

    • Maple, at Level 45, is very hard to cut. I do not recommend this, they can sell for around 150 Gold Pieces each, but they are difficult to cut at this Level and will take a long time to cut a full load.
Your best location for cutting these is Seers’ Village just north of the Bank.

    • Yew Trees are great to sell nowadays! So get your Woodcutting to Level 60 A.S.A.P.! Free Players can cut this Tree down too, which is another reason why prices are dropping, but apart from that, they’re easy Money . They sell for 275 to 400 Gold Pieces each. There is a big demand for these, so it will be quite quick to find a buyer.
Dotted around the Runescape Map, since Free-to-Play can cut these now, they are found in a lot of places, such as in Edgeville (there are two Trees there) and south of Lumbridge (with a few scattered Trees), but for Members, your best bet is either the Gnome Stronghold, or Seers’.

    • Magic Trees for Members are like the name, Magic, these sell for 1,000 to 1,500 each and require Level 75 Woodcutting. You will often find People buying these, so it isn’t that hard to sell these either.
The easiest places to get them are south of Seers’ Bank, near the Rangers Guild (three Magic Trees there), and some Trees dotted around Tree Gnome Stronghold.

Remember though to be constantly on your guard, as there are Tree Spirits around that attack you! Tree Ents will also appear; these can damage your Axe, and appear when the Tree suddenly turns into a bigger Tree. We don't have pictures at this time, but you WILL know when you come across one. Just move on to another Tree.

Fletching for Members is quite a good little Money maker as well.

When you get to Level 70, make Yew Longbows. Strung and High Alched, you can get 768 Gold Pieces per bow. Many People actually buy these strung Yew Longbows for 468 Gold Pieces, this is because 300 Gold Pieces is deducted for the price of a Nature Rune.

Yew Shortbows High Alchemy for 480 Gold Pieces.
Yew Longbows High Alchemy for 768 Gold Pieces.
Magic Shortbows High Alchemy for 960 Gold Pieces.
Magic Longbows High Alchemy for 1,536 Gold Pieces.

Another way People have made Money from Fletching is by making Arrows. Ranging is a big thing in today’s RuneScaping World, so there are many People that buy Arrows out there.

Feathers can sell for 10 to 13 Gold Pieces depending on amount; if in large amounts, 15 Gold Pieces each.
Arrow Shafts are usually sold at 10 Gold Pieces each, but can be sold at 15 Gold Pieces each again if in larger amounts. These are obtained from using a Knife on regular Logs. One regular Log will provide you with 15 Arrow Shafts.

Feathered Shafts are usually sold at 25 Gold Pieces each, these are made when you attach Feathers to your Shafts in a 1 for 1 ratio.

    • Bronze Arrows usually sell for 15 to 20 Gold Pieces each.
    • Iron Arrows usually sell for 25 to 30 Gold Pieces each.
    • Steel Arrows usually sell for 37 to 45 Gold Pieces each.
    • Mithril Arrows usually sell for 50 to 60 Gold Pieces each.
    • Adamantite Arrows usually sell for 100 to 140 Gold Pieces each.
    • Rune Arrows usually sell for 300 to 350 Gold Pieces each.

The Arrow Tips are usually the same price as the Arrows themselves, if not a little lower.

Dart and Knife prices are currently unknown. If you can provide this information, please contact hiker.

  5. Crafting

There are few People that buy Rings, unless they are Dragonstone Rings of Wealth, which are sold for 100,000. Sapphire and Emerald Amulets are rarely bought.
Ruby Amulets of Strength are sold for approximately 4,000 each if you can find a buyer. Diamond Amulets of Power are sold for 8,000 to 12,000 each. Finally, Glory Amulets are sold for 100,000 to 120,000 each.

Gems you can sell for quite good prices if in larger amounts, obtained from Mining at Rocks.
Uncut Gems are better and easier to sell then cut Gems.

    • Sapphires sell for 400 to 700 Gold Pieces each
    • Emeralds sell for 800 to 1,000 each
    • Rubies sell for 2,000 to 3,000 each
    • Diamonds can sell for 4,000 each
    • Dragonstones can sell for 80,000 to 100,000 each.

Another way one can make Money is by looking in a Gem Shop every now and then and buying any uncut Gems, then cutting them and either selling them to a Player, or to the Gem Shop.

For Members, Flax spinning is a good way to make Money. You can almost get yourself 1,000 Flax an hour, which is sold for 100 Gold Pieces each, however, if you spin it yourself, which requires Level 10 Crafting to turn it into Bowstring, you can easily sell the string for 200 Gold Pieces each!

Your best bet to pick Flax is the Gnome Stronghold. A very good location to spin the Flax is Lumbridge Castle: there's a Bank on the second floor and a spinning wheel on the first floor.

Another Money spinner is Molten Glass, few People buy it, but it can net you around 100 to 120 Gold Pieces per Molten Glass as they use it to make Glass Objects such as Vials and Orbs.

  6. Herblore

Easiest way to make some quick Money if you have high Herblore is to kill Druids or Chaos Druids for Herbs, identify, then sell the higher Herbs, such as Ranarr, Irit Leaves, Avantoe, Kwuarm, Cadantine, Lantadyme, and Dwarf Weed.

The lower ones are not sold for as much, but are easily sold to lower Herblorists wanting to raise quickly.

    • Guam – 200 to 300 Gold Pieces each, also higher depending on buyer if he wants the Experience quickly
    • Marrentill – 300 Gold Pieces each
    • Tarromin – 1,000 each
    • Harralander – 1,000 each
    • Ranarr – 3,000 each
    • Irit leaf – 2,000 each
    • Avantoe – 1,000 to 2,000 each
    • Kwuarm – 3,000 each
    • Cadantine – 3,000 each
    • Lantadyme – 3,000 each
    • Dwarf Weed – 4,000 each

Your best bet to collecting Herbs are at the Druids in Taverley, Chaos Druids in Edgeville Dungeon, it is in the Wilderness, but only up to Level 3, so very little chance of getting killed. Also, another spot is at Yanille, in the Agility Training Spot. Because of that, you do need a certain Agility Level to enter, towards the back there are Monkey Bars which lead to another little area where you can collect Herbs.

Second Ingredients are also a good way to make Money as they sell for a fair bit:

    • Unicorn Horn – 200 to 300 Gold Pieces each
    • Limpwurt Roots – 400 to 1,000 each, depending on the buyer
    • Red Spider Eggs – 300 to 400 Gold Pieces each
    • Snape Grass – 100 to 200 Gold Pieces each
    • Blue Dragon Scale – 800 Gold Pieces each
    • White Berries – 1,000 each
    • Wine of Zamorak – 1,000 each

Unicorn Horns can be obtained from Unicorns (imagine that) dotted around the Map, although the easiest place to get them is in Wilderness, around Level 20 to 24, due north from Varrock.

Limpwurt Roots are obtained easily enough from Hill Giants and Hobgoblins, located in Varrock Dungeon, Level 56 Wilderness, Level 30 Wilderness, or behind the Crafting Guild.

Red Spider Eggs are obtained from Karamja or Edgeville Dungeon.

Snape Grass can be obtained from behind the Crafting Guild where the Hobgoblins are.

Blue Dragon Scales are obtained from the Dungeon where Blue Dragons are found in the Taverley Dungeon

White Berries are harder to get, as you have to travel to Level 37 to 40 Wilderness to get these, but then you have to protect yourself from the Red Dragons which guard these precious White Berries. They can also be dropped rarely from the Chaos Druid Warriors.

Wine of Zamorak can be obtained from only one place, the Zamorak Altar north of Falador, at the Edge of Wilderness, prepare to take Telegrab Runes or they will curse you and your Combat Stats will drop, they are compounded if you continue to fight more than one, so if you want to fight, take a Restore Potion

Potions are similar in price to their respective Herbs, such as Super Sets, consisting of one Super Attack Potion, one Super Strength Potion, and one Super Defence Potion cost around 8,000 to 15,000. Anti-Fire Potions, made from the Lantadyme Herb, cost 4,000 and Range Potions, made from Dwarf Weeds, are around 3,000 each.

  7. Thieving

Thieving is quite hard to make Money from now, so sorry if this is a little short.

When starting out, all you can thieve are Men and Women, each time you successfully thieve you get three Gold Pieces each in your pocket. Not much, but the Experience is fairly good.

There are many ways to Level up from 15, such as stealing from the Stalls in Ardougne, or continuing to thieve from Non-Player Character’s.

When you get to Level 65, Yanille Watchmen are good to thieve from, as they give 50 Gold Pieces each time you successfully rob them. However, at Level 50, you can start thieving from the Silver Stall in Ardougne, which can also be good as a little Money earner and it sells for around 250 to 400 Gold Pieces each.

The Nature Rune Chests, only require Level 28 to disarm the Traps on Chests, however, they only yield one Nature Rune each time. Factoring in the long respawn of around 10 seconds, this isn’t really a suitable way to make Money.

However, the Blood Rune Chest, requiring Level 59 thieving to disarm the Chest, is very good as a Money maker, yielding two Blood Runes each time, and 500 Gold Pieces is not so bad. There are also Ogres down there to do some training with as well.

All of these Chests are found in Ardougne.

  8. Combat

For Members, Dragon Hide collecting is also a popular way to make some Money. Hides of some colors are sold for around 1,000 to 2,000 each, including Green and Blue. However, Red and Black are normally higher priced because they are more difficult to come by.

    • Green Dragons are located in Wilderness, just above the Hobgoblin Mine.
    • Blue Dragons are found in Yanille or Taverley Dungeons.
    • Red Dragons are found in Level 37 to 40 Wilderness.
    • Black Dragons are found in the Taverley Dungeon just past the Blue Dragons and King Black Dragons are found in the King Black Dragon Lair in the Wilderness.

Note: Another way to make some Money at first, when you have a few thousand in the Bank, is to buy things from the Shops and sell them to other People, such as Arrows from the Arrow Shop or Gems from the Gem Shop.

  9. Treasure Trails (Clue Scrolls)

Doing Treasure Trails has made many lucky People millionaires, why not you?

    Just check out the
Treasure Trails Guide and the Treasure Hunting Forum Sticky for information about what and where to kill or dig for all your Treasure Hunting dreams.

Like most People, if you have a fairly good Ranging Level, Magic Level, or Combat Level, you should try your luck on some Monsters that drop Rare Items! Those such as Dragon Mediums are of great help to make a quick buck or two

However, just stick to some Monsters that drop alright Items, such as Lesser Demons, they drop a few Rare Items, such as Half Keys for Members, and the occasionally a Rune Medium, which can be High Alched or sold. Lesser Demons also drop a good amount of Fire Runes, so after a few trips, you can easily sell those Fire Runes for a little extra profit too!

Also, a way to make Money is to kill other Players. I know some People don’t like this, but generally speaking this is a fairly good way to make Money if you are good at it. Remember to get a nice team together; an honest one is helpful too. I won't get into too much detail, otherwise I might find myself on the other end of a beating in the Wilderness.

  10. Merchanting

Another way to make Money is to Merchant!

Note: Prices listed below are subject to change without notice.

Merchanting is one of the easiest ways to make Gold Pieces and you can do this on any account from a Level 3 with a Total Level of 100 all the way up to Level 126 with a Total Level of 2,000.

To start off, you are going to need some Gold Pieces. I suggest 1,000,000 Gold Pieces. There are two main ways of doing so:

    1. You can go to the Dwarven Mines and mine 10,000 Iron Ore with a Market Value of 1,000,000 Gold Pieces.
    2. You can borrow 1,000,000 Gold Pieces from a wealthy and trustworthy friend.

The next thing you need to worry about are the rules. Your account will now become a target of hackers and scammers. This comes with being rich, anyway. Choose a clever Password that is unknown to anyone else and set your Recovery Questions that nobody else will know. Also, set up a Bank Pin. When you log out, always put your Items in the Bank. Your account is as secure as you can make it.

Jagex is a multinational Company with a game that attracts more than 200,000 users regularly. In a game of this size, there are rules. When you are Merchanting, some of these rules apply more than others. Some people get rich by Macroing. This involves players downloading Software to their computers that mine Ores or string Bows for them. If you think this is an attractive prospect then please stop reading. These people are breaking rules and this takes the fun out of the game.

Next, we must deal with Real-World Trading. In a hypothetical scenario, say you are at school or workplace and somebody asks for £10 for 1,000,000 Gold Pieces. He is breaking rules by using an illegal way of obtaining Gold Pieces. Gold Pieces in RuneScape are owned by Jagex and if you decide sell it for Real-World money, then you are selling stolen goods. You can be prosecuted for buying stolen goods.

Thirdly, there are Players who bully others. Again, imagine yourself in a School/Workplace and that same rich Friend/Co-Worker walks up to you and tells you about their millions. If you decide that you will bully that person either physically or verbally, then you are breaking the rules and the law. These things take the fun out of the game.

The last thing is Scamming and Hacking. Scamming is when you make a trade that seems better than it is worth or remove Items that do not give the other Player what they initially thought they were buying. Hacking occurs when someone takes somebody else's account by either stealing their Password or changing their Recovery Questions. These will get you permanently banned from RuneScape and even talking about it in RuneVillage will get you banned permanently.

Merchanting does not involve any Skills in RuneScape. You will not be Mining, Smithing, Crafting, Fishing, or even Fletching. You will just be using your business sense and Gold Pieces to make yourself even richer. The best place to do this is on either World 1 Varrock for Free-To-Play members. You will be able to do most Free-To-Play Merchanting there.

Pay-To-Play members, on the other hand, is not as easy. Whilst you can find some good deals in World 1 Varrock, you have the whole of World 2 to merchant. Below, you will find a Merchanting Guide, showing suggested prices to buy and sell Items. These tables may be incorrect in the future due to inflation and price manipulation. Members can buy most items in Falador Park and at the Banks, however, clever Merchants have a much better chance of making Gold Pieces by going to where your chosen Ore/Log/Fish is abundant. For instance, you can buy Fish in Catherby. Ores can be found all over RuneScape but the best places seem to be the Dwarven Mines and Keldagrim.

Here is a list of the different things you can Merchant:

    • Coal: Coal is an Ore that is needed to smelt all types Bars above Steel; therefore, it is in demand more than any other Ore. When buying Coal, it is best to browse the Forums of RuneScape.com. The Forums show most of the Players who are buying and selling Items and it allows them to display their prices. If you spot people selling Coal for 100 to 150 Gold Pieces, try to purchasing large amounts from them. This builds up a business relationship and they may start giving you discounts. Next, browse the Forums, again, for People who buy Coal for 200 or more Gold Pieces.

Once again, you can build up a relationship with your buyer. But try to establish a fair price. Do not rip off a good customer. For example, you buy 10,000 pieces of Coal for 1,000,000 Gold Pieces. If you can sell it for 200 Gold Pieces each, you get 2,000,000 Gold Pieces. Well done, you have doubled your Gold Pieces. I find Coal is the best Ore to buy and sell because of its' demand. So remember, if you are unhappy with a price, do not sell it; You can always find somebody else who needs the Ore

    • Yew Logs: Once again, you can buy these on World 2 or RuneScape.com's Forums but try to look for a price of 200 Gold Pieces each. You can build up that business relationship with a Yew Log seller as well. Now, all you need to do is look for a buyer at 300 Gold Pieces per Yew Log. I suggest World 1, on the east side of the Eastern Bank of Varrock or on the Forums, but again, it is up to you.

    • Steel Bars: You can buy Steel Bars at 400 or 450 Gold Pieces each from the usual sources. You can then sell them at 600 Gold Pieces each so that it is worth it. Another tip is that a person who will buy all of your Coal for 200 Gold Pieces each and Iron Ores at 100 Gold Pieces each, he or she can then sell them back to you in Steel Bar form for 400 Gold Pieces each. The Player would be satisfied with the Smithing Experience he or she has gained and you would have made 200 Gold Pieces profit per Bar. However, you may not be as lucky in finding a deal like this.

Now once you have made about 3,000,000 to 6,000,000 Gold Pieces, you can move onto different Items listed below. For Pay-To-Play Members only

    • Abyssal Whips: An Abyssal Whips has current market value of 2,800,000 to 3,100,000 Gold Pieces. If you have 6,000,000 Gold Pieces, then you can make a tidy profit here. Go to World 2 Falador Park and find the place where the People are selling Abyssal Whips, usually next to where People sell Masks and Santa Hats. If you buy two Abyssal Whips for 5,600,000 Gold Pieces, you can resell them for 6,200,000 Gold Pieces, which then becomes a 600,000 Gold Pieces profit. If you do this four times a day, you can make up to 2,400,000 Gold Pieces. However, you are more likely to make more Gold Pieces by buying and selling them one at a time

    • Rare Items: The cheapest Rare Item that is worth buying currently goes for 11,500,000 Gold Pieces. So, it will take a lot of Merchanting to get that much Gold Pieces but it is worth it. Rare Items will always go up because every day the numbers of them is slowly going down. It is suggested to invest in either a Santa Hat or the most expensive Mask you can afford. Then you can sit back and watch the value of your Rare Item rise without doing anything or you can buy and sell it, making approximately 200,000 Gold Pieces each time. The only problem is that the price of Rare Items sometimes takes hours to rise by 1,000,000 Gold Pieces, so be careful when you sell and watch the market. Do not worry, if you have a hard time finding a good deal. If nobody wants to purchase at your price then look elsewhere.

  11. Runecrafting

Due to the split-up between regular and pure Rune Essences, the prices of Pure Essences have gone up quite a lot and are a good money-maker. 90 to 115 coins are being paid each Pure Essence. In order to mine Rune Essences the Rune Mysteries Quest must be completed, it is however not required in order to craft runes.

First thing first is to get the Talismans.

At Level 1, you can only make Air Runes, this is quite a handy Skill for yourself. However, if you wish to start making any real Money from this Skill, you’re going to have to get to a higher Level.
I suggest around Level 22 at least, this way, you can get 3x the amount of Air Runes per trip. This means for every Rune Essence you will get three Air Runes, and at today’s prices, these will fetch you 10 to 15 Gold Pieces each, so you will make your Money back at the minimum and gain the Experience!

With this, it is not really advisable to make Chaos or Cosmic Runes unless you feel really bored, because the trips to and from the Bank will be boring, as they are very far from the Bank, meaning it can be bad for your Experience rate.

By Level 44 however, Nature Runes are a great source of income! Selling at 300 to 450 Gold Pieces each, you will definitely make your Money back!

Law Runes are pretty good for selling as well for Members because Essence costs 20 - 30 Gold Pieces, and Laws sell for approximately 400 Gold Pieces each. You do need Level 54 Runecrafting to make them though, but you are guaranteed quicker Experience because of the closeness to Draynor Bank .
With the new addition of the Abyss Runecrafting Experience Points are much easier to acquire. Refer to the RuneVillage Runecrafting Guide for more detail.
