Rusty Sword Guide

Have you ever wondered what to do with Rusty Swords? Well, most people don't know, but you can give them to this Person, and he'll fix it up!

The Person you trade or whatever is behind that Wall in the red oval.
  • This is in Port Khazard, near the Trawler Mini-Game. So what you do, is you right-click the only Person there named "Tindal Merchant". You can also ring the Bell, but it's slower.

  • You then give Tindal 100 Gold Pieces and the Rusty Sword, and he will return you a brand new Sword.

The best Sword I got there was a Mithril Longsword, not very good, but, it IS possible to get Rune Longs!
The Rusty Swords can ONLY become Swords or Longswords
  • Once you have your Swords, if you don’t want them, you can head west to the General Store, and earn a bit of money.

There are only three ways I know of to get Rusty Swords...
  • Searching Crates.
  • Pick-Pocketing H.A.M. Members.
  • Digging at the Digsite.
So, next time you get a Rusty Sword, keep it; you might get lucky!

Note: You cannot bring damaged Armour to Tindal, he's only for Swords.

I hope this helps, enhancing the enjoyment of Runescape for everyone!
