[1] Introduction [2] Personal Protective Gear [3] The three Slayer Tower Floors and their Inhabitants [1] Introduction Welcome to Morytania's Slayer Tower (also known as the Terrible Tower). Anyone can enter the Slayer Tower, but it's not a pretty sight inside as it has Crawling Hands, Banshees, Bloodvelds, Nechryaels and more, so only enter when you are ready for it! Always take the proper protective gear (for more information check out section two). The Slayer Tower contains three Floors and each Floor is crawling (both literally and figuratively) with Monsters! Beware, not all of the Monsters are happy to see you and many will attack you on sight. If it is the first time you will be entering the Slayer Tower then read RuneVillage’s Slayer Guide beforehand. [2] Personal Protective Gear Some Monsters in the Slayer Tower require special Equipment to be killed, look below to see which ones. Note: When a Monster requires special Armour and you aren’t wearing it, you are unable to kill the Monster, even if you use your Ranged or Magic Skill. Banshees require Ear Muffs so you won't hear their awful screams. If you don't wear these Muffs they will hit constant 6's on you and will lower your stats at the same time. Aberrant Spectres spread out a bad smell that will lower your combat stats and Hitpoints very fast if you are not wearing a Nose Peg! Gargoyles are mythical Beasts which fly like Rocks; therefore a Rock Hammer is needed to kill them. Use the Rock Hammer on the Gargoyle when it is at 5% health or lower. [3] The three Slayer Tower Floors and their Inhabitants ![]() The Entrance to the Slayer Tower is guarded by two Gargoyles who are only Statues, not alive. ![]() Let’s start off our tour of the Slayer Tower with the first Floor. You won't find much in the first Corridor, the occasional Bat is the only sign of life here. As soon as you turn the first corner you will see Crawling Hands, the small ones are Level 8 and the bigger ones are Level 12. However both the small and large Crawling Hands are bigger than normal human Hands, so I wonder where they originated from? Crawling Hands are great training for lower Level Players. If you travel a bit further down the Corridor you will reach the Banshees, the tortured screaming souls (don't forget your Ear Muffs)! Banshees are Level 23 and are nice training if you want some Rune Essence because they drop thirteen noted Rune Essence quite frequently. First Floor Inhabitants: Crawling Hand ![]() Level: 8, 12 Slayer Level Required: 5 Notable Drops: Sapphire Ring, Emerald Ring, Ruby Ring, Diamond Ring, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby and Uncut Diamond, Nature Talisman 5 Runite Javelins, Half of a Key, Left Half of the Dragon Shield Banshee ![]() Level: 23 Slayer Level Required: 15 Special Item Required: Ear Muffs Notable Drops: Level 1 Clue Scroll, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby, Uncut Diamond, Nature Talisman, Black Mystic Gloves, 5 Runite Javelins, Half of a Key, Runite Spear, Dragon Spear, Left Half of a Dragon Shield Now it is time to move onto the second Floor. There are two ways to reach the second Floor, you can use the Spiked Chain (Level 61 Agility needed) as a shortcut to the Aberrant Spectres or you can take the Stairs to reach the Infernal Mages. Infernal Mages are evil Wizards with knowledge of Dark Magic! They are easy to kill, but they think the same way about you if you don't wear Magic Protective Gear, so make sure you do! They can hit up to 8's, which is pretty high for their combat Level and they use Magic attacks so the best thing to do would be to bring Black Dragonhide Armour. The reasons why People fight Infernal Mages is because they: A: Get assigned them B: They want Death Runes C: Other If you keep on following the Passage past the Infernal Mages you will come across Bloodvelds. Be careful, these Creatures have a long Tongue which they will use to attack Enemies! They must have some sort of Magical power in that Tongue because if you wear Armour like Runite or Dragon you will get hit very often, so wear Magic Protective Gear for these Monsters as well. Or you can just hide in a corner and use a Halberd, your Ranged or Magic Skills. Let’s not stick around too long at the Bloodvelds and continue with the tour. Next up is the Aberrant Spectres, remember to always wear a Nose Peg when entering the Room! There is the Spiked Chain located in this Room, which you can climb down if you are 61 Agility (mentioned earlier on). Aberrant Spectres are chiefly famous for the number of Herbs they drop, up to five at a time! They also drop a lot of Seeds. Second Floor Inhabitants: Infernal Mage ![]() Level: 66 Slayer Level Required: 45 Notable Drops: Death Runes, Black Mystic Boots, Black Mystic Hat, Lava Battlestaff Bloodveld ![]() Level: 76 Slayer Level Required: 50 Notable Drops: Blood Runes, Runite Medium Helmet, Black Boots, Nature Talisman, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby, Uncut Diamond, 5 Runite Javelins, Dragon Spear, Half of a Key, Left Half of a Dragon Shield Aberrant Specter ![]() Level: 93 Slayer Level Required: 60 Special Item Required: Nose Peg Notable Drops: Level 3 Clue Scroll, Nature Talisman, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby, Uncut Diamond, Half of a Key, Runite Large Helmet, Lava Battlestaff, Black Mystic Bottom, Left Half of a Dragon Shield On the third Floor you will find the feared, or loved, Abyssal Demons, the Rocky Gargoyles, the evil, Undead Nechryaels and possibly some Death Spawns. When you take the southeastern Stairway on the second Floor you will reach the third and final Floor. You will find yourself in a Room right in front of the Gargoyles, you can go face-to-face with them or find a Ranging spot, but whichever you choose remember to use your Rock Hammer for the final blow! But watch out, these fearsome Monsters attack everyone on sight! So bring some Food while Ranging, as it can get pretty tough. Gargoyles are well known for their Granite Maul drops. If we continue on to the next Room you will find some Nechryaels. Don’t be afraid as these Demons are not aggressive and don't require any special Gear to be killed. At the back of the Room is a very good Ranging spot, useful for when Nechryaels spawn Death Spawns. However, the Death Spawns are only Level 46 so they won’t hit you for much. ![]() I'm pretty sure that you will all have noticed a second Spiked Chain in this Room; if you’re Level 71 Agility then you can climb this. Nechryaels are known for their excellent Loot and they have some very nice Runite drops, but their Loot cannot beat the Loot from the Abyssal Demons so let’s go take a look at them. The final Room contains the Abyssal Demons who are one of the most rewarding Monsters in RuneScape, if you’re lucky you might get an Abyssal Whip, but Abyssal Demons also have a lot of other great drops. The best way to kill them is face-to-face because they will very often teleport you to a position right next to them. Third Floor Inhabitants: Gargoyle ![]() Level: 111 Slayer Level Required: 75 Special Item Required: Rock Hammer Notable Drops: Level 3 Clue Scroll, 3,000 Gold Pieces, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby, Uncut Diamond, Half of a Key, 5 Runite Javelins, Runite Large Helmet, Runite Spear, Dragon Spear, Granite Maul, Black Mystic Top, Left Half of a Dragon Shield Nechryael ![]() Level: 105 Slayer Level Required: 80 Notable Drops: Level 3 Clue Scroll, 3,000 Gold Pieces, 100 Silver Ore (Noted), 45 Law Runes, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby, Uncut Diamond, Half of a Key, 42 Runite Arrows, Runite Large Helmet, Runite Boots, Runite Spear, Runite Bar, Runite 2-Handed Sword, Runite Platemail Legs, Dragon Spear, Dragon Medium Helmet, Left Half of a Dragon Shield Abyssal Demon ![]() Level: 124 Slayer Level Required: 85 Notable Drops: 3,000 Gold Pieces, 45 Death Runes, 67 Nature Runes, 150 Steel Arrows, Nature Talisman, Uncut Sapphire, Uncut Emerald, Uncut Ruby, Uncut Diamond, Half of a Key, Runite Bar, Runite Medium Helmet, Runite Square Shield, Runite Spear, Runite Chainmail Body, Runite 2-Handed Sword, Runite Kite Shield, Runite Battle Axe, Cut Dragonstone, Dragon Spear, Dragon Medium Helmet, Left Half of a Dragon Shield, Abyssal Whip So what have we learned on this tour of the Slayer Tower? That you always need to wash your Hands after you shake other Hands as some Hands may not be as clean as yours! That you always wear Ear Muff to prevent ear damage and that you need wear a Nose Peg if you’re going to slay Abyssal Demons (amongst other Monsters)! Also, you need to remember to use a Rock Hammer to destroy evil-looking Statues and to hide under the Table if you see Demons! Enjoy the Slayer Tower! |
