Coded By: Gamestar, Glodenox and King Zonk

Things To Bring - Prayer Potions (If you have done Tai Bwo Wannai Trio then you can pray at the Altar in the middle of the Village), Food, Anti-Poison Potions, Armour, a Weapon, Ardougne Teleport Runes (to get more Food if needed), Machete (Can be bought at the General Store Northwest of Tai Bwo Wannai Village.

To Start: Talk to Murcaily who is outside the Gate of the Hardwood Trees. Ask him if there is anything to do and he will tell you to go around the Village helping out - cutting back Jungle Plants and repairing the Fence.

Jungle Plants
To cut these you need to be wielding a Machete.

Light Jungle - Level 10 Woodcutting needed, 33 Experience given per Thatch Spar Cut.

»

Medium Jungle - Level 20 Woodcutting needed, 57 Experience given per Thatch Spar cut.

»

Dense Jungle - Level 35 Woodcutting needed, 82 Experience given per Thatch Spar cut.

»

As you cut away at these, you will get Thatching Spars, use these to repair the Fence to the South.
Also, you will get Non-Player Character’s that jump out to attack you from the Jungle these are:
  • Broodoo Victims (Level 60) - These are tough to kill as they have a very high Defence and use curse Spells, so bring some Prayer Potions if you plan on killing some. They drop the Masks of which there are three types - Green, Grey and Yellow, the color of the Victim determines what color the Mask will be.

    Weaken with:
Orange:The Relicym's Balm from Zogre Flesh Eaters Quest
    White:Food
Green:Anti-Poison Potion, using this will give you 24 Herblore Experience per dose

The Broodoo Victims are very hard to kill, you hit 4's and 5's with 70 Strength. To kill them quicker you must use a specific Item on them to weaken them as described above.

  • Bush Snakes (Level 35) - These are easy to kill but can occasionally Poison you. They drop Snake Hides.

  • Large Mosquito (Level 15) - These are also easy to kill. They drop Proboscis of which there isn't a use for yet. You get Agility EXPERIENCE for killing Mosquitoes.

  • Tribesman (Level 32) - The same as the regular Tribesmen.

  • Jungle Spiders (Level 44) - The same as regular Jungle Spiders. They drop Spider Carcasses.
You can also use your Machete on any Thatch and make Skewer Sticks. Use the Spider Carcass on the Skewer Stick. Cook it on a Range (16 Cooking required) and you get a Spider on a Stick, which heals 10 Hit Points.

Once you have cut away all of the Jungle, one of the following three things will be left behind:
  • A Gem Rock which can be Mined.
  • Gout Tuber Plant which can be dug up by using a Knife on it.
  • Just the Stumps of the Jungle Plant.

Favour and Trade Sticks

Killing one of these will earn you Favour, which if you talk to one of the local Villagers can be traded for Trading Sticks. The local Villagers are any Non-Player Character there that isn't attackable. The exchange rate is approximately ten Sticks for each 1% of Favour. You can ask them at any time in any order but you have to wait about 5-10 Minutes between asking the same Person for more Sticks
